Very good tasting bread. But the price is too high. The weight should be 500 g, but when I weigh it at home, it's only 470 g. That can't and shouldn't be!

I'm on it, but unfortunately I haven't heard anything from those responsible yet. However, you are absolutely right: 480g or even 470g seems to be too little.

JOWA (our bread supplier) has checked the outgoing weight of numerous loaves in the last few weeks. The average weight of this comprehensive sample of the oven-out weight is 527.1 grams. This is even higher than the specified target of 515.0 grams. If only all the minimum values of the weighing strip are taken into account, the average weight is still 519.9 grams, which is well above the target value. In addition, there are precise legal regulations that JOWA must comply with.
This also includes the scales being calibrated and approved by the Swiss Federal Office of Weights and Measures - this process is checked annually.
We therefore really cannot explain why your breads do not correspond to the stated weight. As mentioned above, our quality checks have not revealed any deviations.

Once again, the bread is just under 480 grams!
If Migros can't manage to bake the bread at the right weight, at least lower the price. As a customer, I can't accept buying bread that doesn't correspond to the weight every time.

How about going directly to a scale in the store and having it weighed there. Then an area manager could be approached directly.
