Thanks for the reminder from me too; I had planned to do it today. I had already said before Loxiran that I was curious to see what the Migipedia team would say on the subject.
I'm particularly interested in the image that the now-banned "schneebaer47" inserted as the opening post: the "Pimeli" image. She writes herself that she got it from Facebook; the copyright is therefore not hers. Therefore, according to both the old and the new Migipedia rules, she should not have uploaded the image here.
But there is another detail: the photo was also previously used by the Migros social media team; it appears on the Migros Twitter channel.
And that's why it's now doubly interesting to see what happens to photos from the internet on Migipedia: Are you definitely not allowed to? Can you if you have taken it from a Facebook/Twitter account? Is it allowed if it has already been used on another Migros channel? Why is a picture from the Internet allowed on the Migros Twitter channel, but not on Migipedia?
I hope you understand what I mean.
Best regards Go-home service

Hello everyone
I have looked into this issue with our legal department and can now give you the following feedback: Thanks to our users, we have an enormous amount of content on Migipeida. Since we cannot check / verify in each individual case whether the post contains a legally permissible quote, whether the image is correctly licensed or whether the post is otherwise permitted under copyright law, we refer to our rules of the game here, especially with photos, "copying" from the Internet is usually very tricky and rarely covered by the right to quote.
As a rule of thumb, it is therefore better not to upload images from the Internet / Facebook or only if the rights are clearly available (e.g. if you took the photo yourself or the image is in the "public domain" ).
