Pay a Cembra invoice using eBill?

Cembra-Rechnung mittels eBill bezahlen?

I am traveling abroad for a longer period of time and am therefore generally switching to eBill for the payment of my invoices. When will this finally be possible with Cembra? I have already made several inquiries with Cembra, but I have never received an answer!!! PS. I know LSV, but I don't want to use it because I want to check my invoices before releasing them for payment.

However, the invoices can also be paid from abroad without eBill. I always receive an e-mail when a new invoice is available, then log in and collect the invoice. This cannot be paid with one click as with eBill, but at least it can be paid. The argument regarding LSV makes sense in itself, but is generally overrated in my opinion. I have been paying two credit card bills per month via LSV for over 20 years, but I still check the bills very carefully. Only once - a long time ago - I was charged twice for a restaurant bill from abroad and it was canceled without any problems after I complained, otherwise everything was always in order. And otherwise I would still have 30 days to cancel the LSV direct debit. I opted for LSV at the time after I missed a payment deadline several times and was charged interest on arrears (for the whole month and not just for missing the deadline - another issue).

Hi sirio60, thanks for the tip, although I am also aware that I can pay the bill via e-banking from abroad - which is what I did. eBill is simply much more practical and up-to-date, as I no longer feel like typing out 27-digit reference lines (especially not on vacation...).

I haven't had to type in the reference number for invoices without LSV for a long time. I "photograph" the reference line with the PostFinance app, sometimes even directly from the screen, and then all I have to do is tap on the smartphone display.

It only works if you have a second device. LSV is cumbersome when you change banks, and you still have to send paper around, losing money and time. Ebill is simply the more modern option. Swisscard somehow manages to make Ebill available, why Cembra doesn't, who knows. On the Cembra website the link to LSV is also dead, so it's not even possible to make an LSV, at least in my correspondence language. The biggest joke: it has no way to contact Cembra via email or contact form. It has a stupid FAQ that doesn't allow to ask questions when it comes to credit card invoices. It's just stupid that they think I will wait on the phone to report a bug. For me the result of this bad partner choice of Migros is simply that I use my Cumulus card as little as possible.

I agree with you: E-Bill is preferable to LSV/DD. Furthermore, the customer service at Cembra (and at many other financial service providers) is not optimal, because on the one hand they do not offer email because of the fake emails from third parties (= never reply to an email at Finanzen) and the telephone hotline is very bad because of the waiting time.

When making a deposit to your own Cembra account, there are 3 things to note: 1) Cembra's account number = this is 01-800-7 2) your own reference number 27 digits = this is ALWAYS THE SAME, because it only refers to your own account -- e.g. 10 00000 00000 0xxxx xxxxx xxxxx (x=different digits). digits) contains a check digit, therefore no incorrect entry -- in this number only the customer is stored at Cembra - therefore no invoice amount... therefore 3) Invoice amount OR freely selectable amount, but this must then be HIGHER than the last invoice -- e.g. I have a credit limit of CHF 2000, but I have to pay a bill of CHF 4000 for a vacation trip, so I must have the option of depositing the amount exceeding the limit BEFOREhand -- e.g. for use as a prepaid account ... as in my case - or in the event of a longer absence ... I have been using Cembra as a prepaid account for over a decade. I had the limit lowered from CHF 10,000 to CHF 2,000 and transfer amounts between CHF 2,000 and CHF 5,000 every month or as required. The positive balance has the advantage that a positive balance is also displayed when you call up an SMS from Cembra... ;-) e.g. credit limit 2000 CHF minus purchases 449.95, then message still available amount = 1550.05 as SMS retrieval - but in my bookkeeping 449.95 would be shown as expenses. With a positive balance it is the same as your own bookkeeping + credit limit (=in my case always + 2000) and this comparison can easily be made in your head... SMS calls are free with Cembra - I make them daily or directly after the purchase from my cell phone.

Hello @ASder Thank you for your message. There are currently no plans to introduce eBill. The cross-industry solution from SIX "QR-bills" was recently introduced for our credit cards. This will further simplify the payment process for customers and we offer LSV to our customers as an alternative to eBill. Payments are released automatically and punctual transfers are guaranteed. LSV collection takes place approx. 10 days after invoicing. Furthermore, discrepancies on the invoice can be reported within 30 days. In addition, the LSV transfer can be withdrawn via the debiting bank within 30 days without giving reasons. To protect customer data, we only use the mailbox in our eService for electronic customer communication." We could not find the error regarding the LSV form on the Cembra website. Could you please send us the link so that we can fix it? Thank you for your feedback and for your attention. Best regards Sebastian

Thank you for the link. We have already forwarded this to Cembra for rectification. In the meantime, we can offer you the following alternative link: https://www2.cembra.ch/ext/cards/common/de/pdf/Cembra_LSV_D.pdf Best regards Sebastian

I share Mr. ASder's opinion regarding eBill. The invoice from Cembra is the only (!) monthly invoice that I cannot process via eBill. I would be pleased if this were introduced soon.
