Café Royal " Nespresso -compatible"

Café Royal " Nespresso -Kompatible"

Hello
I bought the Café Royal Ristretto and Espresso forte today.
As it says on the packaging, the capsules should be "compatible with the Nespresso system.
I immediately wanted to try it out at home with my Tumix C 420 automatic Nespresso piston machine....... ;(....
As soon as I attach the plunger.... it blocks...but I still try to brew a coffee...
the coffee set...the water has flowed out everywhere....
Unfortunately not possible with my machine....Do you have an explanation?
Thank you very much

Hello ardevaz

Thank you for your message! It is of course very annoying that the capsules do not fit your Nespresso machine. I'll immediately check with our product managers to see what the problem might be.

We'll get back to you as soon as we know what the problem is!

@ardevaz

Have you tested the capsules from Denner yet?

Salute

Yes I did ...when they came on the market....
but I can't remember exactly why I didn't buy them!
Because of the machine or because of the taste?
In any case, I've stayed with Nespresso.

As I'm a big Migros fan .... I had to try the new capsules straight away...
unfortunately not compatible with my machine :(
Waiting for an explanation from Migipedia

We have a Turmix (TX150) and it works for us without any problems. However, the machine is very new. Maybe that's the problem?

In yesterday's Berner Zeitung, Monday, June 4, 2012, I found the following headline and text on page 17:
-o-
Watchmaker invents ecological capsule.

The capsule dispute between Nestlé and the imitators of the Nespresso capsule is intensifying again. Meanwhile, a former watchmaking specialist senses a good business opportunity with a reusable capsule made of stainless steel thanks to the environmental awareness of coffee drinkers.

I found the slightly modified text electronically here:

and after a little searching, the inventor's site.

Hello ardevaz

Thank you for your patience. It can happen that the capsule and machine do not work perfectly together. As Harmony correctly suspects, this usually happens if it is a slightly older coffee machine model. A little tip: push the plunger upwards before turning it to the right. And don't turn the plunger all the way to the right, then the coffee will flow better. If this doesn't work either, you can of course return the capsules to the Migros store and get your money back. But of course we hope that it works now!

It works perfectly with my Turmix TX 150. However, "loading" is a bit more strenuous (the lever doesn't go down so easily) and the flow is much slower. The coffee feels hotter and tastes a little more bitter - or I'm imagining it... ;-)

But what I've always wondered: why doesn't Migros advertise its own brand, set up Delizio machines and provide coffee capsules for a contribution towards expenses of e.g. 50 Rp, as Nestlè does in its stores?
Who would buy a Delizio machine at random without being able to test the coffee first? - This is especially true for people switching from Nespresso... ;-)

Hello wef17

There have already been tastings of Delizio coffee in the branches and recently also at major Swiss railroad stations. However, the promotions were always limited in time. I am happy to pass on your idea of always offering Delizio for tasting in the stores. However, I can imagine that many stores unfortunately lack the space to set up a "coffee corner". :)

@ Daniel_Migros
That would be a good approach and certainly feasible in an MMM, I think next to the water station, where there is usually a bench or small bar table.
It's not just the pets that won't eat anything else if they've been fed the same canned food for too long. We humans are no better in this respect ;-).... Since the capsule systems are generally not compatible with each other, but you still want to use the same devices "as the lowest common denominator" in a partnership, campaigns like Café Royal - for people like me with a strong defense reflex against excessive patent protection - are very helpful. But even better is a new original that satisfies both sides....

Hello wef17

Migros stores are managed by the cooperatives. In this case, they could also decide on the introduction of "coffee corners". We would be happy to pass on your idea to those responsible in the cooperatives.
You're right, we're quite the creatures of habit sometimes. Of course, we also want a solution that suits everyone perfectly. :) And we are working hard to keep improving our products with your help!
