For me, MBudget cooking butter (just like all other butters) is always hard in the fridge, I can't tell any difference, regardless of whether I store the MBudget butter in aluminum paper or in a butter dish (I have this one: https://produkte.migros.ch/m-topline-cool-butterdose-18cm). Maybe it's your fridge (not set cold enough, wrong compartment/storey in the fridge when storing etc.)?

Thank you very much, but that can't be the problem, the butter, no matter which one, is always in the same place in the handle. Is there a "softener" or some vegetable fat added? Greetings Brika

And both the old and the new packaging say the same thing in the list of ingredients: "Butter made from pasteurized cream". If it contained a "softener" or "some vegetable fat", Migros would have to declare this by law.

I would say buy another one or two and see if the "problem" still exists. If not, then you have simply caught a "black sheep"/an "outlier". Sometimes that happens. If it does, then write to Migros again, maybe something was changed during production or maybe a different milk was used or whatever.

I can't confirm this "phenomenon" either. I would actually be interested to know whether it occurs again with another piece or was just an exception.

I'll definitely keep testing it. If I also have this "phenomenon", I'll let you know again. So far, every MBudget cooking butter has been flawless, nothing to complain about and no such "phenomenon".

Swiss butter or EU butter, but packaged in Switzerland.... The problem is not only with the butter, but in general I am very unsure about all *domestic" M-Budget foods. I am not saying that such EU butter does not meet the hygienic regulations, but a different (=not so familiar to us) consistency would be quite possible....

Online it says "Made in Switzerland". I had a quick look at the butter itself in Migros this morning and it says the following: "Origin butter: FR", "Elaboré en Suisse", "Vertrieb (...): Migros-Genosschenschafts-Bund, CH-8031 Zurich, Migros France SAS, F-74160 Archamps", "Butter (made from pasteurized cream)" I bought such a butter; this "phenomenon" still does not exist with me; the newly bought butter has not been soft since it has been in my fridge. For the meaning of "Made in Switzerland" look here: https://www.blw.admin.ch/blw/en/home/instrumente/swissness.html It is clearly defined and regulated by law what may be labeled "made in Switzerland". The fact that butter has to be imported happens from time to time, and even more so since Corona (because then everyone is suddenly at home and baking like crazy, etc.). To be honest, I don't see that as a problem. The EU has similarly strict regulations, even stricter than Switzerland for certain things.
