Bread baking ingredients

Brotback-Zutaten

Hello dear Migros!
I have recently started to bake our own bread...now I have noticed that many recipes contain ingredients that are unfortunately difficult to find here in Switzerland:

- Baking malt
- sugar beet syrup
- bread spice

As I like to shop locally and not abroad, would it be great if these products could be found in my local Migros in the near future?

Many thanks & best regards

Michèle

And please urgently add locust bean gum, sourdough powder and guar gum to your range. I like to bake myself and don't want to keep going abroad (which unfortunately isn't possible now anyway)

Locust bean gum can be found here, for example: https://www.farmy.ch/bio-johannisbrotkernmehl-rapunzel or at Brack (the Rapunzel brand is also available in Alnatura stores) Sourdough powder: https://www.coop.ch/de/lebensmittel/vorraete/backzutaten/klassische-backzutaten/grund-zutaten/naturaplan-bio-sauerteigpulver-4x10g/p/3936997 Guar gum: order from morga in their online store or otherwise from an online store Otherwise, at best in an organic store near you, in a health food shop or similar, that specializes in such products (usually stores that sell gluten-free flours etc., which may also have such products)? Migros will certainly not include these products in its range, the customer demand (according to Migros) is too small for that. Unfortunately. I'd also love it if all these ingredients were available to buy at Migros... But nowadays you still have to go to the online store or health food stores etc. for "special things".

I already know where else I can buy these things. But nowadays sourdough powder, for example, is in great demand. Many people bake themselves and often with sourdough. So it's no longer an exotic product.............. And I don't want to order these things online. Just because Migros refuses, as is so often the case with other things.

Unfortunately, Migros doesn't want to/can't include everything in its range that is in high demand, that isn't an "exotic product", etc. You have to accept that and make the best of it. I would also love it if I could find everything I wanted in Migros, but unfortunately that's not the case. If certain products aren't available in Migros, then I look at Coop, Aldi, Lidl, Spar etc., in a health food store, organic store etc.; if I can't find them there either, then unfortunately I have to order them online if I absolutely need/want them, or otherwise I just do without them. Unfortunately, you don't always get everything you want in life, and bashing Migros (maybe that's a bit harsh, but I can't think of a better word, sorry) here in the forum because Migros doesn't want to introduce a product etc. doesn't help either. Of course you can/may express your displeasure and criticism here in the forum. And you can always ask questions or make requests. Ultimately, the decision regarding the product launch lies with Migros.

Indios - sourdough powder is available at the Coop, for example.

Yes, I know, it would just be nice if Migros would finally get on board. I just don't have the time to go to so many different stores. But Migros forces you to do it. I now shop more at Aldi/Lidl than at Migros. I used to only shop at Migros, but Migros is changing everything or taking everything away from us............. or adding sugary products to its range and throwing out sugar-free, super products.......... It's so incomprehensible to me..........

Yes, that's true - I also looked in Migros first - then googled it and saw that Coop has it. I feel the same way - at Migros a lot of things unfortunately disappear secretly from the range, which is a shame.

Malt in various forms is also available from brewing supplies. That should also work.

I have read that you can also use liquid honey as a substitute, 1:1

Brown sugar would be more suitable!

It would be easier for me if I could buy malt extract in Migros. I get the Morga malt extract from the drugstore or online. Migros could probably also offer it at a cheaper price.
