I bought it with a lot of enthusiasm, but it still didn't defrost for the prescribed 5 hours through the Vermicelles appliance, only crumbs came out... Much too dry, says my friend! What's going on?

Hello ckg, thank you for your feedback on the organic chestnut puree. The chestnut puree is simply pureed chestnuts. It is a raw material that is suitable for further processing. If you want to make vermicelles from it, you need to refine the puree with cream or alcohol, for example. You can find plenty of recipe suggestions on the Internet. As we are aware of the risk of confusion, we declare the exact purpose of the organic chestnut puree on the packaging. If you prefer a ready-made Vermicelles mix, we recommend our M-Classic Vermicelles ready to use (art. no. 1614.306). It consists of three vermicelles rolls that you can press directly through the press once they have defrosted: https://produkte.migros.ch/m-classic-vermicelle-fixfertig Best wishes, Richi
Sorry Richi but that's nonsense, in the past you could take these blocks and press them through the vermicelli press without "refining" them. But last year when I bought it, it was just crumbs and dust-dry crumbs after pressing. No wonder it came off as the worst chestnut puree in Kassensturz. It has simply become worse. And btw other "raw marroni puree" from other stores make excellent sausages, a little tip to the thread author, Coop Naturaplan. Or here is the test table (scroll down a little below the video, you can click on a small download of the test) https://www.srf.ch/article/17785256/amp
Hoi Bodenseeknusperli, thank you very much for your feedback. Of course, I don't disagree with you that it is ideal for pressing, but it is not intended for direct use as vermicelli. It is a semi-finished product that can be refined to individual taste. We also passed this statement on to the SRF at the time. You can find it on the website https://www.srf.ch/article/17785256/amp at the very end "to download". Unfortunately, the water content of organic chestnuts varies. We check the water content of every batch of finished product - if it is too low, we balance the values with a little water. It is a challenge to find the ideal balance for each production run. best regards, Richi
I also buy the organic Marronipuree and am familiar with this problem. I always mix the defrosted block with water or cream. Or if there are no children eating with me, I add a little kirsch. Then I mix the whole thing with a hand mixer and then it goes perfectly through the vermicelli press.

Has the organic chestnut puree been removed from the range? I can no longer see the product on the Migros products page. And Google tells me that the product link no longer exists when I try to open it via Google?

Hi lilypad, do you mean the frozen organic chestnut purée? Where do you usually shop? Best regards, Noemi

About 2 weeks ago I was able to order the organic Marronipuree online from migros.

Yes exactly, I mean the frozen organic chestnut puree. When I enter the product name on the Migros website, the product is not found. And Google gives me the following link: https://produkte.migros.ch/sortiment/supermarkt?notFound=1&type=product&originalUrl=https%253A%252F%252Fprodukte.migros.ch%252Fbio-marroni-puree However, it says "The product no longer exists"? It is still displayed in the online store, but of course I don't want to place an online order for just one product. /edit: I shop at Migros in 3012.

Hello lilypad, unfortunately I don't know why the puree is not visible online. I have passed this on to the relevant specialist department. However, the product is in stock and we have no delivery problems. In Bern, you can find the frozen organic chestnut puree in the Marktgasse, Christoffel, Bern Bahnhof or Welle 7 stores, for example. Best regards, Noemi

Don't know if this was meant here: https://produkte.migros.ch/bio-marroni-puree
Because Migros apparently can no longer even offer a decent organic Vermicelles puree, I recommend Coop, which can do it, with roughly the same ingredients and it can be pressed very well through the Vermicelles press when defrosted: Naturaplan Organic Chestnut Puree.
