Do any of you know why the vanilla-flavored Bifidus yogurt is no longer available in all Migros stores?

I also looked for the bifidus vanilla yoghurt yesterday. And also received the answer mentioned below. Poorly run, new LC1 from Nestle. Poor substitute... Dear Migros, don't you dare even think about taking Bifidus natural yoghurt out of the range!!! Then... I would definitely have a problem with you!!!
Hello Hottentotten We currently have no plans to remove Bifidus Nature yogurt from our range. We are pleased that you can continue to enjoy it! Best regards, Angela
I will CERTAINLY not buy a Nestlé product! It's a great pity that you are constantly replacing your own high-quality products with Nestlé. As long as your own products remain on the shelves - so what. But if your own products are soon all gone, I'll probably have to rethink my reasons for shopping mainly at Migros (and since Coop also sells almost only such megalomaniac brand products, I'll probably have to choose a German discounter, which I don't really want either)...
Hi stellaluna22 It is certainly not in our interest to completely remove our own brands from the range. Branded products should complement our range, but not replace it. Kind regards, Angela

@Infoline↵Why are products that meet customer needs constantly being removed from the range? Especially when they are then replaced by more expensive branded products. If the product doesn't sell, there's no point in replacing it. A rogue who thinks evil 😉

Of course, you have to bear in mind that customer needs are relative; it's not your (or my) customer needs, but the customer needs according to Migros' definition/statistics etc. A number of my favorite products that are no longer in the range obviously don't meet customer needs according to Migros. That's why I do it like Hape Kerkeling: "I'm off then" (goodbye Migros (regarding products that are no longer available at Migros), hello competition), and I've been doing it for years now...

I enjoyed my last Bifidus Vanilla today. It is/was a TOP yogurt! And I don't believe Migros that the demand was too low. It's incomprehensible to throw such a great yoghurt out of the range and put expensive LC1 sugar bombs on the shelf instead...........

Hello Magnoliapower If a product is not so popular, it makes sense that we don't continue to carry it for long. However, we can understand to some extent that some customers are not happy with the introduction of branded products. Migros is indeed associated with strong own brands - and we are aware of this! We look closely at the introduction of each external brand internally. We always check whether it makes sense to add the item in question to the range. Adding branded items to the Migros range should continue to be the exception. Our aim is to provide our customers with good products. Kind regards, Angela

Dear Angela "The expansion of the Migros range with branded products should continue to be the exception" => why do I have the feeling that Migros is becoming more and more like a Denner/Coop (as far as branded products are concerned)? I mean, nothing against branded products (they sometimes taste better than certain stores' own creations), but Migros has already changed a lot in this respect... Kind regards

Hello Angela, nice to read this. And I hope I can believe this statement. My personal impression does not quite confirm this. Last week, for example, I wanted to buy M-Classic potato chips as normal and searched around until I could find the few packs of them on the shelf next to the x branded products - and I was already preparing myself for the fact that I would probably not be able to buy them in future either. The M-Classic ketchup can now only be bought in an XXL bottle (which doesn't fit in any fridge) - the hot version is no longer available. You just have to buy the big American brand (not my preference at all). These are the examples that come to mind, but there are more. With regard to the Migros Bifidus yoghurt in particular, I can't understand why these yoghurts don't meet any customer needs if they are then replaced by a very similar branded product? The Migros Pure yoghurts have also been replaced by Emmi products... Kind regards...

Yes, I agree with you, I've also noticed in some (larger) stores that the branded products are prominently displayed on the shelves (e.g. potato chips, ketchup etc.), whereas with Migros' own brands you sometimes have to look really hard to find them...
