Allergy vs. attitude to life

Allergie vs. Lebenseinstellung

Dear Migipedia community and community team

I thought long and hard about whether I should write this thread. The following:

I accept that there are products that are made for vegetarians. Then there are products for vegans, I accept that too. If a product has to make way for a vegan product, I accept it.

But there's a difference, I've looked at various threads and it makes my hair stand on end. Veganism is a trend, Migros follows trends in its product range.

Allergies, on the other hand, are forced food changes.

Diabetics can't choose whether they can eat normal chocolate.

Epileptics can't choose whether or not to have menthol or eucalyptus in their products. They shouldn't. You just have to search for a long time until you find cold ointment or something like that.

Then there are also people affected by lactose intolerance. Also not a trend.

I think it's great that you're including alternatives in your range for allergy sufferers, so if you have to make way for something else, I fully understand.

But why do you take Christmas baubles away from diabetics just once a year? Incomprehensible.

And nothing against vegans, but how do vegans themselves, including lacto-vegans, feel when a product for allergy sufferers has to make way for vegan milk, whatever is replaced by lactose intolerant people against Lactovegan, a great example a few hours ago.

I would like all allergy sufferers and all voluntary attitudes towards food to express themselves here as to whether they think it's okay if allergy sufferers' products are replaced by vegetarian or vegan products, etc.

You were quicker than me. With my PN
It was really explained to me in the Migros restaurant that lacto-vegetarian and lactose-free have nothing to do with each other. As far as I know, it is not an alternative for people with lactose intolerance.

Or maybe I have it wrong in my head, I'll wait for my colleague's feedback and then I'll write if I'm really posting nonsense together (if so, I'll apologize formally in the thread)

But if I'm right, I'll post the feedback here too.

And on the subject of diabetic chocolate balls for Christmas trees, you could try again, or at least have a heart for others once a year.

Good evening everyone ,

1. so "ovo-lacto-vegetarians" eat a meatless diet, including fish, poultry and anything else that is alive. Milk, eggs, honey are O.K.

2. then there are "lacto-vegetarians"

Are almost the same as ovo-lacto-vegetarians,

but "lacto-vegetarians" do not eat eggs.

3. "Vegans" as you know do not eat anything animal, neither live nor products from animals, eggs, milk or honey.

So much info as a preface

It was explained to me from various sides that in jugs the lacto-vegetarian stuff milk cream whatever is inside is no alternative at all to lactose intolerant milk, cream.

Nobody knows that you have to ask for soy milk, but I would confirm that you really can.

As an alternative I could well imagine a liter of lactose-free milk, to have in the cooler well visible, in any case Migros of AHA sells such in the assortment.

Hello @Mystery1978, thank you for your message. We had sugar-free chocolate balls in our range for the last time at Christmas 2015. However, demand was so low that we had to discontinue this item.

Easter is the bigger "chocolate business", so the range is wider then. The following items are available without sugar at Easter.

- Frey Eili Giandor milk without added sugar 200g (Art.Nr.1016.083)

- Frey Hase Lampino milk without added sugar 145g (Art.Nr.1005.037)

We also have the following sugar-free products in our standard range:

- Noir Spécial 72% with no added sugar (Art.No.1001.217)

- Milk Extra with no added sugar (art. no. 1001.304)

- Noxana without added sugar (Art.No.1001.308)

- Chocolate cherry without sugar crust (Art.No.1002.054)

- Giandor without sugar (Art.No.1002.320)

- Truffes au Lait without sugar (Art.No.1009.203)

Best regards, Jenny

This answer is simply a cheek and I am furious. This isn't about Easter or the chocolate bar. It's about Christmas baubles. If Migros didn't advertise and simply hid these baubles at the very back, it's clear that nobody knew they were there. It really should be possible to leave out two "normal balls" (given the huge range) and offer two sugar-free variants, milk and black. Where is the common sense in that?
The switch back to the normal bar offer: Why don't you direct all customers who want to eat sugar to the normal bars as well and discontinue the scoops altogether?
I think Migros needs to rethink a few things!

@indios

I find the final sentence super and sarcastic at the same time. "Set normal chocolate balls under the motto "hang a bar of chocolate on your Christmas tree."

That's how diabetics should do it, Migros probably thinks. You all _Migros can't be blamed for just being the mouthpiece of the upper echelons.

It would be very nice if the "upper echelons" would show themselves here in the forum and not let everything be said.

And please don't write such 08-15 answers again.

I would say that everyone here in the forum would like to hear the direct opinions of the upper management.

The _Migros also have to take quite a beating, so I don't think it's anything but fair. It may sound rude, but it's really beneath everyone ...

@Chefetage

I was in an MMM-Migros in Buchs AG today and out of curiosity I went to see how many different chocolate things there were to hang up: balls, tannzapfem, samichläus ect. After 10 products, I stopped counting. But really now 1 type less but a Diabetis ball cone Santa Claus whatever. Migros throws away what they can't get rid of anyway.

I don't know how high you get with the reports from the Migipedia users _Migros team, but tell them to rethink...

If you were affected yourself, how would you feel as a diabetic if you had to hang a bar of chocolate on your Christmas tree because there are no balls, cones etc. for diabetics?

I look forward to the answer.

I don't think there is much demand for black chocolates either.

Have a look at how many hits you get for Frey chocolate, you can certainly take out something sugary.

Make it 20x Cummulus then people will see it and the product will become a self-seller. Or are there also aha - balls?

"D Migros ghört de Lüt" (everyone or just the healthy ones?) Chef Etage, please think about it, you would be affected yourself and couldn't change it because you would only be consumers, just put yourself in the role of the citizen. Yes, I am repeating myself, and I am sober, just so disappointed to say the least.

Hello everyone, thank you very much for your feedback. I certainly understand your anger. With our response and suggestions, we just wanted to inform you about the offer in this area. We are aware that Easter is completely out of date and that we cannot offer you chocolate balls without added sugar in the Christmas range. Migros takes these concerns very seriously - all of them without exception! It is precisely thanks to the critical feedback from our customers that we have been able to reintegrate products into our range or launch new flavors that you have all requested. And you can also rely on me in this case to make sure that your opinions are heard by those responsible. Have a great day and a great weekend. Best regards, Richi

O.k. halfway satisfied, but could you tell those responsible to show themselves in the forum and answer questions in the current threads? I have already read this request from several people. Are they really too cowardly to take a stand personally? As I said, not only in this thread, that is important ?

Hello @Mystery1978, thank you very much for your opinion. I am pleased that I was able to show you our efforts and that you are reasonably satisfied with them, but I am striving for complete satisfaction ;). Of course I will honor your request, but you must know that this is not a test of courage or anything like that. You are not too cowardly to take a stand, on the contrary. They are simply not responsible for this, we do it - and we are incredibly happy to be the interface between you and the various Migros departments. I share your opinion, the exchange is extremely important! Best regards, Richi
