can you also run the machine without the balls? this would also give you hot water, e.g. for tea. if you have suction problems, it is also said that you should first try without the balls

Of course you can also run the machine without a ball. I can't say whether the temperature is suitable for tea, as I don't drink tea.

Hello Chrimali, thank you for your inquiry. We will be happy to help you with your question. Yes, technically you can also heat a small amount of water with the machine without inserting a coffee ball. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to help you. Your Migros specialist store team

In my machine, the coffee balls fall into the drip tray without being broken. However, they do not fall through directly, but are trapped in the chamber provided for this purpose and only fall into the drip tray after the brewing process. The machine does not direct all the water into the cup, but also into the drip tray. Is this a defect or can something be done about it?

The machine has no on/off button and delivers coffee immediately without any warm-up time. Is it always kept warm in energy-saving mode if I don't unplug it?

Hello Evi33 Thank you for your question and your interest. The machine itself goes into soft-off mode after 1 minute (automatic switch-off after 1 minute). For comparison, a 60W light bulb consumes the same amount of energy in 1 hour as the CoffeeB machine in soft-off mode in 12.5 days. On/Off switch is therefore not necessary. We hope that we have been of help to you with this information and wish you a pleasant day. Your Migros specialist store team

I'm interested in the machine but I'm wondering why the balls cost about 8x as much as beans. Can someone explain this to me?

Hello Bluebone. Thank you for your inquiry and your interest. It is the customer's choice which coffee system is preferred. Capsules or Koffee B balls are relatively more expensive than plain or ground beans, as the production costs are much higher. Best regards, your Migros specialist store team.

But if the cost is so high, how can it be more ecological?

Hello Bluebone. Thank you for your comment. In principle, Coffee B machines are more ecological than all capsules or fully automatic machines. For example, the production of capsules and the packaging of the ground beans requires a lot more resources than the Coffee B balls. Ecological production requires more effort than non-ecological production. For this reason, the price of Coffee B balls is also somewhat higher than ground coffee, for example. Best regards, your Migros specialist store team.

Can hot water for tea also be purchased?

Hello KTM. Thank you for your request. The Coffee B machine does not have a hot water function. Best regards, your Migros specialist store team.

I don't drink much coffee at home at times. That's why I've always preferred the Nespresso version because the coffee stays good for a long time. What is it like with these balls? How long do they stay fresh (in the packaging - and in the carousel)?

The balls must be used within 3 months of opening the packaging. Unopened, they have a shelf life of 14 months.

Everywhere you hear, read and see that the coffee stays longer/better when protected from light... have you come up with something for infrequent users instead of the transparent "carousel"? Otherwise, hats off for the innovation. I hope you grab enough market share from Nespresso so that the next machine is produced entirely in Switzerland 🍀💪🏽

Hello JoelT. Thank you very much for your comment. We're delighted that you like the Coffee B principle. If you rarely drink coffee, it's best to leave the balls directly in the packaging and store them in a cupboard, for example, instead of putting them in the ''carousel''. The balls have a shelf life of approx. 3 months when open. Best regards, your Migros specialist store team.

Where is this machine manufactured? Surely in a country that produces in an environmentally friendly way? Thanks for the answer.

The machine is produced in China.

Ah ok, it's not for me, I never buy anything from China. Migros should also think about this and not just think about the profit margin. Dried beans and garlic from China at Migros are also questionable. Europe is perfectly capable of covering the Swiss market. What a pity

Your smartphone is also from China...so basically nothing from China is practically impossible, but as little as possible is certainly possible and recommended.

My smartphone is certainly not from China, fortunately.

Hello, how does the descaling work, does it run automatically or do you have to run it manually again and again? Thank you

There is an integrated descaling program as with comparable capsule machines. This must be started manually.

Hello zimmo Thank you for your question. You can download the instructions for the CoffeeB machine from the attached page. All the steps for descaling and many other questions are answered there. https://www.coffeeb.com/helpcenter#/path=/Maschine/?Country=CH Your Migros specialist store team
