Regarding M-Check: I can't quite understand why organic thyme + organic sage only have 3 stars each. So 1 star worse than your organic curcuma + ginger from exotic countries.
Especially as I also assume that thyme + sage at least come from the local region.
Would appreciate more detailed information.

Hello Has, thank you for your message. We are happy to help clarify things. The different ratings in the M-Check can be explained by the fact that herbs (such as thyme) are dried. Drying causes them to lose a lot of weight, which means that more raw material is required. This process requires additional energy, which increases the emission factors. In comparison, mono-spices (e.g. turmeric) do not require drying and therefore have a lower environmental impact. The emission factors always refer to 1 kg of the finished product.
