I am still waiting for the answer from Migros.

Why am I not getting an answer?

Once again the question: Why doesn't silken tofu belong in the aha! range? Last week there was an aha! promotion and I bought the silken tofu, but it was not deducted. I would like an answer from Migros.

To Migros: Why isn't this silken tofu part of the AHA range?

Hello indios, thank you for your request. It has taken some time to process your request. Please excuse the late reply: In order for a product to carry the Allergy Seal of Quality, the manufacturer must be certified accordingly. This is currently not the case. We will be happy to take your input on board and review it. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you.

I gave it another try this week and have now tried a silken tofu. Sell by: 12.06.20 Consume by: 19.06.20 When I unpacked it, there was no smell like the last two, but the consistency was quite strange. Not nice and silky and smooth like it should be, but like a sponge made of shreds. It was soaked up with water and they turned out like fibrous, elongated shreds. I could forget about the creaminess and the weight dwindled to just 100 grams after the water ran out. It seemed to me like wood shavings. What is always wrong with your silken tofu? Have you changed manufacturers? After all, other suppliers can do this too, but Migros somehow can't manage it..... A lot number is also not visible.

Hello indios, thank you for your message. Unfortunately, the clarifications took a little longer, which extended the waiting time - please accept our apologies. We suspect that there was an error in the coagulation process. If the coagulation is faulty, the desired typical consistency of the silk tofu is not achieved. We inspected the production process during the last few productions, but did not notice any anomalies. We have not received any further reports of this defect. We are therefore not assuming a general product defect, but rather an isolated error. We have informed the responsible employees about the issue. The following productions will be monitored and the resulting products will be examined. We will send you an e-mail to make amends. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I was just about to use a silken tofu. When I opened it, I was already hit by a horrible smell. I then tasted a little and it tasted like rotten eggs. The taste and smell were both like rotten eggs. I had a second one and the same thing with that one. I almost felt sick. I can't find a lot number on it. For sale until: 16.05.2020 Use by: 23.05.2020 It was terrible. Have these problems been reported before?

Hello indios, thank you for your message. We assume premature spoilage due to the described change in taste and smell. This can be the result of damage to the packaging - a micro-tear is sufficient - or an interruption in the cold chain. The microbiological stability of the product is no longer guaranteed if oxygen enters the tray or if the storage temperature of max. 5° C is not maintained, which leads to rapid spoilage. We rule out a general product defect and assume a one-off deviation in quality. You will receive a private message from us to make amends. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you very much. There were no cracks, because then I would have noticed and the liquid would have leaked out. And that just with two Tofus. Read the latest entry from me 1 day ago. That was really weird. It was indescribable, it was just shreddy, you had to squeeze it out like a sponge, then everything disintegrated into coarse shreds. Something just wasn't right with silken tofu. It's not the first time.

I would like to ask you again to check the silken tofu. It is no longer being bought because the quality is miserable again at the moment. It crumbles in the liquid. And it should already be a block. Now it has been very good for a long time since I last wrote about it months ago. But it's been so bad for a month now. You can't sell it like this or offer it to us customers. Please check this immediately. I do not have a lot number or there is none available - I buy in 9500 Wil SG.

Hello indios, based on your description, the manufacturer assumes that there was an error in the dosage of the coagulant (Nigari). As a result, the mass could not achieve the desired coagulation and consistency. The next productions will be closely monitored by the product development department to ensure that the specifications are strictly adhered to. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you, I'm glad to hopefully be able to buy solid silken tofu again soon.

Very poor quality again at the moment. Everything is crumbled and has far too much liquid. The same problem as I have written about before. For a while the silken tofu was very good, really firm. But now there is clearly too much liquid and everything seems to have disintegrated. Please get to the bottom of the problem again. Thank you.

Are the calories per 100g calculated with or without the drained weight?

Without!

Hi Michi2000 The nutritional information always refers to the product as you have it in front of you (e.g. rice, pasta etc. in its raw state), unless something else is mentioned (e.g. "100ml prepared contains...", "drained"). In the case of silken tofu, the nutritional values also refer to the whole product (incl. liquid), as the liquid is normally also used. Best wishes for the summer, your M-Infoline team

How many calories does the product have per 100g without the liquid?

The calories stated on the pack are without liquid!

Ciao Michi2000 Why do you have the feeling that the nutritional values refer to the drained product? 1 pack weighs 250 g, the nutritional values refer to 100 g or ½ pack (125 g). A drained weight is not stated anywhere and, as already mentioned, it is usual to consume the product including liquid. best regards, your M-Infoline team
