We found that traces of antioxidants cannot be completely avoided in organic feed for a number of reasons. Certain vitamins (primarily vitamins A and D) are stabilized with ethoxyquin. The manufacturers of vitamin mixtures are dependent on a few suppliers of these vitamins. Even if the vitamin mix manufacturers themselves do not add ethoxyquin, small traces are usually found in the vitamin mixes.
