We are well aware that not everyone perceives the Demeter philosophy and the approach to biodynamic agriculture in the same way. The foundations of biodynamic agriculture were laid almost a century ago, based on an anthroposophical worldview. Today, the Demeter guidelines for production and processing form the basis of the Demeter brand. Although some of the Demeter guidelines include prescriptions that have been subjected to little or no scientific study, we are convinced that biodynamic cultivation is justified.

Thanks for this reply, but I don't feel it offers a very convincing justification. It looks like a mixture of circular reasoning ("there's no good reason to believe in it but it's still justified because [rephrasing the unfounded claims of biodynamics]") and red herrings / false dichotomies / strawmen who would insinuate that animal welfare or the quality of agricultural products would be a specificity of Demeter - and not very convincingly, unless you're looking for a more convincing answer.être animal ou la qualité des produits agricoles seraient une spécificité de Demeter - et pas de façon très convaincante à moins de penser que prioritiser les soins homéopathiques (alors que "homeopathy has the same scientific plausibility as using Harry Potter's wand to treat illness" [1]) ou tuer des cerfs pour leur vessie (préparation 502) soient des contributions positives au bien-être animal.
