Hello pacman0, the product "Aarberg gelling sugar 2:1" does not contain any ingredients or additives of animal origin. The gelling agent it contains (apple pectin) is plant-based. Hello Gunki, thank you for the question. There are various reasons for the price difference. We pack the gelling sugar 2:1 in 500 g packets. Basically, the smaller the pack, the more complex the production. The costs increase accordingly. You also need more packaging material. A 500 g pack makes sense because you can process 1 kg of fruit. Last but not least, the pectin used for the 2:1 gelling sugar is also much more expensive than the one we use for the 1:1 variant. Hello lebe, thank you for your inquiry. The jam behaves in the same way: store unopened in a cool, dry place; once opened, the jam should be stored in the fridge. We use a preservative in the 2:1 ratio to compensate for the missing sugar. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
