Dear Migros. What is the packaging for this product made of and is it biodegradable? I want to avoid unnecessary plastic packaging for my purchases and this looks like wax paper. Is this product also available in Bern or only in the Zurich area? Kind regards, Janine

Dairy butter?!- not really authentic...
The Ostschwizer have at least an alternative to the melted butter from Valfora and other tasteless butter. The Ostschwizer cheese dairy butter is even better than the dairy butter. (But not available in Zurich)
In Basel there is not a single alternative!!! (The Tellbutter is a disaster)
In Bern the best: EMMENTALER ANKÄ -> almost like cheese dairy butter
Why don't the Swiss regions exchange their products?
You could organize campaign weeks: Basel hosts the canton of Lucerne for the month of June etc. etc. -> boost the economy in your own country!

The regional butter range is managed independently by the cooperatives. As a result, the various cooperatives work almost exclusively with smaller producers from the region, which is why most types of butter (such as Emmentaler Ankä) cannot be distributed nationally. The suppliers lack the capacity or the possibility to deliver nationally. For this reason, you will continue to find different regional butters depending on the cooperative.
