Why is this milk labeled at 1.75 in the store (M Richterswil, 4.5.23), but then sold at 1.80? How does Migros generally deal with such inconsistencies and how is it ensured that the difference is refunded to the customers concerned?
Hello BrixNZ, thank you very much for your message via migipedia and your interest in Migros Zurich. Mistakes can happen where people work. Nevertheless, it should of course not happen. It can happen that a new price is stored in the system and this was not noticed during labeling. Despite the best efforts of our employees, errors can unfortunately never be completely ruled out. We will forward your report to the management of Migros Richterswil. You are welcome to contact us again at kundenforum@gmz.migros.ch for a refund. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

We, and when I read the reviews, more and more others have the problem that the milk is no longer edible before the expiration date. For my part, the cold chain is not interrupted. I'll be home in a few minutes.
In contrast to other dairy products, the milk for Züribieter products is heated for less time and to a lower temperature. As a result, this product is much more natural. However, this also affects the shelf life and susceptibility to temperature fluctuations. As milk is a very susceptible natural product, deviations can unfortunately never be completely ruled out. In general, the more natural milk and dairy products are, the more susceptible they are to spoilage. It is important to ensure that the milk is stored in the correct cooling zone. The temperature should not exceed 5°C. In the refrigerator door, the temperature can reach 12°C. Further contamination of the milk should also be avoided. your M-Infoline team

Why should filling in the new packaging in conjunction with the closure bring better results? The opposite is the case: since then I can no longer store the milk lying down in the fridge, because even unopened bottles leave a puddle of milk behind.
Hello guest, we are very sorry that the milk bottles, lying in the refrigerator, have left a puddle of milk and we apologize. The supplier has a new bottling plant. We are working very hard on the new milk packaging. Of course, it is important to us that the packaging is leak-proof. A change has been made to the neck of the bottle. Together with the newly installed separate cutting device, it was possible to improve the tolerances on the bottle neck. With immediate effect, only the improved milk bottles will be delivered. We hope that in future only flawless milk bottles will end up in your shopping basket. Best regards from the M-Infoline team

I have been buying this product for years, today I noticed that the milk is packaged in new packaging, perhaps for cost reasons? Now the new packaging is more square and slightly higher, so much higher that it no longer fits in the fridge. Now you might say we should put the tray higher, but unfortunately we can't. As you will certainly not return to the old packaging because of our little problem, we are unfortunately forced to buy the milk elsewhere where the quality and packaging are right for us again.
Hello guest, we regret that the new milk carton no longer fits in the fridge. The supplier has installed a new filling machine which gives better results in connection with the closure. This is why this change has been made. We have forwarded your request to the relevant department so that the situation can be investigated. Have a nice day and best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why does this milk actually cost CHF 1.50 - 1.60/liter?
The farmer doesn't even get 60 cents/liter and the milk fat is centrifuged from approx. 4% fat to less than 1.5%. The packaging can't be that expensive.

Hello guest
Of course, we do not disclose our calculations in detail, but we pay more than the CHF 0.60 per liter mentioned above for the milk we purchase from the Zurich region.
The supplier prices are variable. This is due to different quality systems that reward farmers with impeccable and consistent quality.
In addition to packaging, there are logistics/transport and production costs (this also includes labor costs) and expenses relating to quality assurance, certification costs, administration, accounting and other factors.
Migros always wants to offer its customers excellent product quality and fair prices.
We wish you a good day.
Best regards

Because the normal (non-organic) milk drink listed by GMOS is not listed on Migipedia, here is my advertisement for the product in question. A few weeks ago it cost 1.50 per liter and was in blue and white packaging (tetra pack). Today I saw exactly the same milk in a more colorful packaging (again tetrapack). But the price is now 1.55 per liter.
What is this price increase for a product that is a staple food? If Migros wants to change the color of the packaging, why can't it do so without increasing the price of the milk? After all, the packaging change does nothing to improve the contents and why the new and more expensive packaging should otherwise be better and thus justify the price increase is not clear to me.
If there are other reasons for the price increase than the packaging change, it would be good to know them as a customer and not simply have to buy a more expensive product.

Can Migros confirm acko's comment and if this is the case (higher milk price is the reason for the price increase), could the price increase not have been avoided by keeping the same (less colorful) packaging?
"In Switzerland, commodity prices for milk are rising: the milk industry organization has increased the target price for Swiss milk at the beginning of January 2014, and producers will receive a higher milk price. Migros therefore has to increase the prices of various milk and cheese products. Also increasing..."

Hello guest
In the case of the milk mentioned, the price increase and packaging changes only coincided by chance. The surcharge has nothing to do with the adjusted packaging but exclusively with the aforementioned milk price increase. The packaging was revised in the normal course of events for a repeat order and adapted to the latest requirements.
We hope that we have been able to help you with this information. We thank you for your loyalty and continue to welcome you as a valued customer.

The milk sector organization is the club of milk processors who, together with the retail trade, push down the prices of Swiss dairy farmers.
