Hello turkey, sugar loaf is actually considered to have a good shelf life, it is a so-called storage lettuce. However, it is difficult to say how long it will keep in the fridge. At the moment, it is important to note that we are in the last part of the season and the produce has therefore been stored for some time. The quality is checked regularly before delivery. Is the sugar loaf available in Migros all year round or only seasonally?

Usually sugar loaf is a seasonal item, from autumn to spring. This year we can carry the sugar loaf a little longer, but we will send it on a summer break in the coming weeks and add the product back to the range in autumn. Why is the sugar loaf packed soaking wet? Half of the last one I bought was not edible. What a shame, so much waste.

In winter, of course, I often buy seasonal and inexpensive Swiss sugar loaf. But: I don't like the ones from Migros, they are usually pale, tough, slightly bitter giant heads. The organic Migros is sometimes better, but unfortunately hardly ever available in our store and still no comparison to the better ones from Coop Naturaplan or the market (I'm also increasingly annoyed by the packaging of Migros salads...). Apologies to the vegetable farmer of this sugar loaf, but perhaps Migros should consider a change here for the next winter season... Or is it just me? Kind regards, "Twilight"
