Is this bread gluten-free or not? Several reviews state that it is gluten-free. However, the ingredients list states:
"Allergens: Cereals containing gluten and products derived from them."
Hello chdh Best regards, your M-Infoline team
The product YOU Oat Bread with carrots (111364900000) is not made with flour, as is usual for bread, but consists mainly of grainy ingredients: oat kernels, seeds, and carrots, of course. The note "without flour" or "no flour" should be understood in this context. It does NOT mean that the product is gluten-free! Conventional oats are used to make You Oat Bread with carrots, which is not suitable for people with celiac disease as it is or may be contaminated with gluten from wheat or rye. For people with celiac disease who can tolerate oats, only specially produced oat products that are free of such contamination (see, for example, the aha! oat rolls https://www.migros.ch/en/product/111931100000) are suitable.
Thank you for your reply. It's a shame that this bread doesn't use gluten-free oats, i.e., oats that are not potentially contaminated.
