Great taste, but a real test of patience when slicing
I’ve tried quite a few whole-grain breads, but this one is by far the best for me. The taste is really great, exactly what I expect from a decent whole-grain bread. It’s filling and has that certain depth that I just don’t find in many other varieties.
The catch, though, is the texture. This bread is a real challenge to slice. If you’re not careful or your knife isn’t razor-sharp, half the slice crumbles right in your hands.
Sure, it’s annoying when the bread acts up while you’re cutting it, but that’s probably just part of the deal with the high whole-grain content and texture. Stability would be nice, of course, but I don’t know how that would work without additives, which I actually don’t want in my bread at all. In the end, the taste wins me over so much that I just have to put up with the crumbs, whether I like it or not.
