Mini Mont d'or has become a luxury, but when it's "well made" it's a treat for the whole family!
The heated cheese somehow smelled and tasted of mold. I wonder if this was due to the wooden shingle, which was not optimally dried and possibly not of good quality?
The cheese was otherwise ok, but not really tasty and creamy as I know it from the otherwise larger Vacherin Mont d'Or cheeses that are not on sale.
Promotional cheese may not be the very best quality. Especially with a product like this, which is made from raw milk and has a short expiration date, no compromises can be made in terms of quality. You get what you pay for!
Great taste. Packaging is not tight when you heat the cheese
