Hello Migros Team I can't find any exact information on how much of which fat was used for the V-Love Vegan Bloc. Is there more precise information on where the shea butter and coconut oil comes from?
Thanks for the answer :)
Hello ichbinsdebaum, thank you for your inquiry. The shea butter comes mainly from Ghana and the coconut oil mainly from the Solomon Islands. Due to trade secrets, we are not allowed to disclose how much of the raw materials are actually in the product. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

My newly purchased vegan butter V-Love has a strange aftertaste. Has something been changed in the recipe?
Hi fanty64, can you please let us know the best-before date and the lot number? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
20.01.24, 09:44 Where is the lot number?
Hi fanty64, thank you for your feedback and the photos. We noticed during our tasting that the product has a slight nutty aftertaste.
This is due to natural variations in shea butter and almond paste caused by the raw materials and harvest. With the V-Love product, we have deliberately opted for a high degree of naturalness of the individual raw materials and have therefore refrained from refining, which would prevent natural variations in taste. We have been using the Bloc for a long time and we have noticed that the consistency is always different. Sometimes it is very soft and doesn't harden even in the fridge. And sometimes it has the consistency of real butter. Where do these variations come from?
Hello Jasmin041212, thank you for your question. The cause of the fluctuations can be attributed to natural raw material and harvest-related fluctuations. Mainly from the shea butter and the almond paste. However, we have deliberately focused on a high degree of naturalness of the individual raw materials in the V-Love product "Bloc". Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Do the ingredients come from sustainable sources (certification)?
Hello zircon, thank you for the question. The product contains mainly Swiss rapeseed and shea butter. Swiss rapeseed oil is not explicitly certified. The same applies to the raw material shea butter. There is currently no certification for this raw material either. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

How is this product produced? I have tried it and it is very good but now someone pointed out to me that it is just a ‘margarine’.
Margarine is bad for us because of the refined oils and the incurred trans-fats and bad cholesterols they have.
Is this the same process you use, or do you have a ‘new’ process that does not create the trans-fats and bad cholesterols?
Cheers
Dear Margarine22, Thank you for your enquiry. From a nutritional standpoint, this is indeed margarine because Swiss food legislation classifies all emulsions based on vegetable fats and oils as "margarine". As a result, there is a clear distinction between this and butter, which is made from the (animal) raw product milk.
In general, the manufacturing process that was often misrepresented in the past due to a lack of knowledge has nothing in common with today's manufacturing practices. That's why they were often associated with "trans fats," which are alleged to have a negative effect on cholesterol levels.
Vegetable margarines can't contain any cholesterol because they are made from vegetable fats and oils. One such example is V-Love vegan bloc. Butter naturally contains 1-5% trans fats due to the animal origin of milk/butter.
Best regards, dein M-Infoline Team
Thank you !

Hi I noticed that the Vegan Bloc is sold out almost everywhere, has it been removed from the range?
Hello Sil-lenium, thank you very much for your message. Can you tell us your shopping region? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
City of Zurich District 4/5
The Burgdorf BE region is also affected...what's the situation there?
Hello Sil-lenium and cric, thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately, there is currently a delivery interruption for the V-Bloc due to a shortage of raw materials. We hope to be able to offer you the item again from the end of the year. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello dear M-Infoline team About a month ago I noticed that the Vegan Bloc tasted strange, kind of like cardboard. Today I wanted to buy the product again and realized that it is no longer available in any store. Has production been discontinued? Yours sincerely, D.K
Hello Blueberry81, thank you very much for your message. Can you let us know your purchasing region? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, has the recipe changed? Unfortunately, it no longer tastes as good as it did at the beginning. I will probably have to use it for baking now, because it doesn't taste good at all when spread on bread. Thank you very much for your feedback Kind regards
Hello nmeyer, thank you for your question. We have already received some customer feedback on the V-Love vegan Bloc. We have therefore contacted our manufacturer. He informed us that he had tasted various samples. The products tested were flawless in terms of taste. However, the experts noted a slightly nuttier note. We suspect that this difference is due to harvest-related variations in the shea butter and almond paste. Refining could prevent these natural variations. However, because we have opted for a high degree of naturalness in the ingredients for this product, we deliberately refrained from doing this. Best wishes, your M-Infoline team

Hello, why are there no instructions for use on the packaging of Vegan Bloc? Baking, frying? Kind regards Silvia Soller
Hello soller411, thank you for your request. The reason for this is the limited space on the packaging. However, the product can be used for frying and baking. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, can you freeze V-Love Vegan Bloc? If so, for how long? Thank you in advance
Hi Veg2015, it is possible to freeze this product, but the quality (taste, texture etc.) will of course suffer. It is important that the best-before date printed on the product has not yet passed when frozen. The shelf life in the freezer is approx. six months. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
