Would it be possible to calculate individual CO2 figures for ready meals? At the moment, the same amount is shown everywhere and it doesn't seem to me to be really accurate for the various ingredients in plant-based or meat dishes. The factor could be motivating to choose a different meal.
Could the CO2 factor be a motivation to try a different menu? This is slowly taking on strange characteristics.
Personally, I'm only interested in how much such menus really differ. But it would be unnecessary if, for example, someone gave up meat purely for the sake of the climate and instead chose a menu with imported avocados, coconuts or methane-producing rice with Parmesan grated cheese and achieved the same effect. Comparability is also the reason why Migros has introduced this information.
Hello LazerBeam, thank you for your contribution. With the M-Check, the climate assessment is carried out across the entire product range. We could not have a separate CO2 balance calculated for each of our articles. This is not possible with tens of thousands of items. I used to buy https://migipedia.migros.ch/de/annas-best-vegi-polenta-mit-g which no longer seems to be in the range. Are there any differences apart from the packaging?
Hi Steph4600, we changed the recipe to vegan. This means we replaced the butter with olive oil. In addition, we now use polenta with 54% corn kernels for a better consistency. Otherwise, the dish is identical to before. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
