After enjoying dozens of packages, here is my first complaint: Best before 04/25/2026, Lot No. 121942:
The fish substitute contains glassy pieces, as if a fish had tendons and cartilage! Apparently, there was a manufacturing defect in the production of the fibrous structure. Prepare as usual in a preheated oven at 190°C for 10–12 minutes.
Hello Strohfeuer, thank you very much for your message and the product information. We’d be happy to look into your report. Did you take any photos of the glassy pieces? If so, please send them to us so we can examine the situation more closely. Thank you very much for your help! Best regards, your M-Infoline Team
Unfortunately, I don't have any photos. By "glassy," I didn't mean rock-hard, but rather "not fibrous" like the rest of the mixture (and not a foreign object—so *harmless*). The fish substitute usually has a fibrous texture throughout.
I have a second package with the same lot number. I’ll try it in two days and report back here.
Hello Strohfeuer, we inspected our retained samples from the batch in question and found no irregularities.
The hard pieces you described could also be the result of coagulated proteins or dried breading, which can take on a fairly firm consistency. Although these materials feel hard, they do not pose a food safety risk.
Unfortunately, we were unable to determine the cause of this deviation. We will, of course, continue to investigate the matter and are now conducting tests. Best regards, your M-Infoline Team
Thank you for looking into this. In the meantime, I’ve eaten a second package with the *same* LOT number. It also contains lumps—see photo. I’ve also noticed that the rest of the mixture is slightly *firmer* (but not hard) than in previous months; the breading isn’t too firm (as usual). The right mouthfeel is simply the strongest selling point for this product!
Hello Strohfeuer, thank you very much for your feedback and the photo. The photo shows that the lumps are clumps of coagulated protein. We likely did not soak the raw ingredients properly, which affects the overall texture. The departments involved have been made aware of the need for proper handling. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Best regards, your M-Infoline Team

No longer on the shelves for 2 weeks (Münchenstein Gartenstadt) and can no longer be found in the product search! Only in Migipedia. Delivery interrupted or removed from the range? I'm really annoyed!
Hello Strohfeuer, unfortunately there is currently a delivery shortage for this item. However, the product will be available again soon and will remain in our range. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I have a question about the origin of V-Love products. Recently I have noticed that this is almost never mentioned on the packaging. The online country of origin information in the store doesn't help here either. Where do the soya and wheat in the products come from? Has it been genetically manipulated, treated with pesticides etc? Elaboré (produced/thought through) aux Pays-Bas - that doesn't say anything. Thank you for answering the questions.
Hello SL80, thank you for your message. We can tell you in advance about the origin of the V-Love Plant-Based Sea Style Sticks: The organic soybeans used come from Italy, and the soybeans are GMO-free. The wheat flour is sourced from Italy and is also GMO-free. Regarding the QR code, we would ask you for more detailed information about which QR code it is. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The Sea Style Sticks are very successful, compliments! :-) I was a little surprised that the sticks are rated A in the Nutri-Score. After all, they are a processed food. Can you explain this classification?
Hi Celine_chiara, thanks for your post. Processed foods can also be rated with an A in the Nutri-Score; one does not exclude the other. You can find a more detailed explanation of the evaluation criteria here: https://www.migros.ch/de/content/nutri-score Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello dear Migros team Has the recipe been changed/adjusted? Today they tasted somehow different (not so good anymore). :-(
Hello Schablabla, can you give us the lot number and the best before date? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
We bought them again today and were really disappointed. A few years ago they tasted really authentically of fish and now they don't taste like fish at all and have a strange consistency. Something must have changed in the recipe since the product launch.
Hello stef_, thank you for your feedback. We regret that our V-Love Plant-Based Sea Style Sticks no longer meet your taste. However, there have been no changes to the recipe in recent years and the product is still very popular. Best regards, your M-Infoline Team
The frozen version is MUCH better!

Dear Migros team, In what form are the soybeans in this product? Are they TVP (texturized vegetable proteins) or just soybeans that have been reduced in size and mixed in? If TVP, could you find out what the source material for the texturized proteins is? Is this possibly defatted soy flour, concentrate or isolate? Thank you very much for the information! greetings, omperer
Hello omperer, thank you for your question. We use soy protein in the V-Love Seastyle Sticks. We produce the sticks with soybeans and soy milk. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The sea style sticks from the chiller cabinet (more expensive) are very tasty. What is the difference to the frozen sticks, apart from the fact that they are a bit cheaper? There are 10 in each, 30g each.
Hello Auntyjet, thank you for your question. The recipe differs slightly from the frozen recipe to ensure that it will keep in the chilled state. However, you should hardly notice this in terms of taste. As there is less spoilage and a different logistics process on the frozen shelf, we can offer the sticks at a slightly lower price. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Many thanks for the explanation. I will try the frozen sticks soon.

Dear Migros The sticks are delicious (like many other Cornatur products). But I wonder whether the double packaging is necessary? The cardboard box could easily be left out. It's enough for the meat products too.
Hello MigiPiggi, thank you very much for your input. We are constantly optimizing our packaging. We have already removed the cardboard from the new V-Love products. We will also check this with the various suppliers for the Cornatur line. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Has Migros decided to discontinue this product? It's almost impossible to find in the Vaud region at the moment, which is a shame, because it's so good.
The sea flavor, is this from fish? or chemically produced?
Hello Tom, thank you for your post. This is not a flavoring obtained from fish. Some of the flavoring components contained in tuna oil are also found in plants. These are then isolated and mixed with other plant extracts (e.g. seaweed/onion oil or garlic extract). The mixture then produces a substance similar to tuna oil or its aroma. We look forward to seeing you soon in your Migros! Your M-Infoline team
You can also get "sea flavor" with nori leaves (seaweed) :)
