We have been vegetarians for decades, partly because the taste of meat doesn't agree with us. We therefore avoid products that taste like meat. Is the idea behind v-love products basically to imitate the taste of meat products?

I can only speak from my perspective as an eater (migros may still be able to say exactly what the idea behind it is). But I can say that some of the products come close to the "analog" meat products in terms of the seasoning, but not at all in terms of the taste of the main substance (if you think of the seasoning), I think. The products taste nothing like meat, otherwise I wouldn't eat them. The consistency is also different, as plants simply don't have the consistency of meat. With the VLove sliced meat, which imitates poulet, it doesn't taste like poulet at all, but you can make a veggie "poulet" curry with it, for example, and know that it fits in there (because it has a more neutral taste). I don't make the v love "chervelats" with curry, for example, because the seasoning is different and more similar to the original servelat seasoning. I think that the presentation of v-love products as imitation meat products is more an indication of the way they can be prepared, so that meat eaters are also introduced to vegan products and have better access to them... that's why I like v-love.

Hello N-A, thank you for your question. With meat substitutes such as Geschnetzelt, the aim is to come as close as possible to the texture and taste of meat products. However, there are also V-Love products that do not imitate meat products. For example, the V-Love Falafel or the organic V-Love Pumpkin Burger. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you both very much, that helps me already

Can the Delicious Pieces also be frozen?

Hello Platinum, thank you for your question. We have not yet received any results from tests on frozen storage of the product. Nevertheless, we assume that the quality is only slightly affected. However, we recommend that you eat it quickly after defrosting. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I often notice that the packaging swells before the expiry date. Is that normal? I become cautious with other foods, how is it here? Current example, best before date 14.12.22, packaging very bloated.

Hello durrerc, thank you for your inquiry. If packaging is bloated, it is always a sign that the product is (starting to) spoil. As with other categories, you should also react to meat substitutes.

The cause of such bloating of the packaging is often due to gas formation from bacterial growth. The most common cause of this is often a break in the cold chain or exposure to heat. It is therefore very important to transport and store the product refrigerated even after purchase. We have not received any other complaints about this best-before date, which is why we do not assume a systematic error. We recommend that you return the item to the store and exchange it for a perfectly good pack. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

This has happened to me so often. Although I pay a lot of attention to refrigeration: in the store I pack it straight away in a cool bag (I buy it with the scanner) or when I receive it at home I always put the chilled goods away first. All other items never cause problems, just the delicious pieces. What a pity.

Where does the soy in Delicious pieces come from? Unfortunately, the origin is not declared.

Hello Laurentius20, thank you for your inquiry. In Switzerland, there is no legal obligation to declare the origin of plant-based ingredients in general. The manufacturer obtains the pea and soy protein from an upstream supplier in Europe, as the proteins are not currently available on the Swiss market. The origin of the raw materials depends on availability and due to changing sources of supply it is currently not possible to state the origin. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello :) Can this product also be prepared in bouillon? LG

Hello jmeier11, thank you for your question. In principle, it is possible to prepare them in a bouillon. However, this may change the taste of the Delicious Pieces slightly. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Has anything changed in this product in the recent past? The pieces are more compact, now have a more or less rectangular shape and are harder in consistency than when they were launched. Initially, the "delicious pieces" were very impressive... now the product tends towards an average alternative product. Why was the production changed? This is really recognizable and a pity!

Hello hifi-ch, thank you for your inquiry. How nice that we were able to inspire you with this product. We are all the more sorry that we are currently unable to do this properly. Unfortunately, technical challenges at the supplier have led to occasional fluctuations in quality over the past few weeks. These have now been stabilized by the measures that have been introduced. We hope that you will give us another chance to convince you with the Delicious pieces. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why does this product not declare the origin of the main ingredients (soy and pea proteins)? The packaging merely states 'made in Switzerland'. As an advocate of regional products, it would be desirable to specify the origin. By the way, the product is great!

Hello Does this product also contain iron or other vitamins commonly found in meat (in addition to the added vitamin B12) and trace elements? Thank you for your reply.

Hello Tip10, unfortunately there is no information on iron & Co. The content has not yet been analyzed. However, due to the ingredients used, the iron content in particular is unlikely to contribute to covering the iron requirement. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
