why does it say vegan if e471 is animal? and are you aware that it contains 22 e's????
Hello di-or, of course the emulsifier E471 in this crème slice is also of plant origin, otherwise it could not be called vegan and would not be allowed to carry the vegan V-label. And in fact, it takes a whole range of additives to produce a vegan recipe for a conventional crème slice (which also requires a number of additives). A technological challenge! Regarding puff pastry: It is in the nature of puff pastry to soften quickly when it comes into contact with something moist. Unfortunately, we cannot influence this.
