Dear Migros team, why are vegan spaetzli hardly available anywhere? Surely this is a staple food that should be available everywhere in vegan form? Unfortunately we don't like the ones from Coop, your fini here would be fine, but we would also like to be able to buy them in Migros Allmend LU and Horw, for example. Thank you.

A staple food is a food that is the main component of the diet in the respective culture. They ensure a basic supply of carbohydrates, protein and fat, but not necessarily an adequate supply of vitamins and trace elements. Vegan spaetzle is certainly not one of them.

Dear Federica, I've often noticed how you discredit others with your comments. I don't know your reasons for this, and perhaps you should discuss this with a therapist. In any case, you are spreading a bad atmosphere on Migipedia. I kindly ask you to refrain from making such comments in future. In our culture, we eat spaetzli as a cereal product once a week, and it provides us with carbohydrates. So for us, spaetzli is a staple food.

I only eat spaetzli with game in the fall. It's certainly not a staple food for me that Migros should also offer in "vegan" everywhere! "Frederica" does not deserve this comment, she writes many helpful comments.

And I'm slowly getting fed up with Migipedia and Spätzli, it seems that you only get attacked and put down by other migpedialers when you ask questions and make comments here, it used to be a nice community with helpful exchanges :-(.

Frederica wrote in a normal and friendly way, didn't she? I don't quite see the problem here, but I think calling spaetzli a staple food is slightly exaggerated. It might just be the case for you and your family if you eat so much of it.

No, that's not friendly, it's provocative and also offensive. I have placed my justified wish here that Migros should offer the fine vegan spaetzli in more branches and I would be happy if you would leave our eating habits uncommented on in future.

Your reaction is exaggerated and polemical. Frederica has correctly commented on the term staple food (you can also read about it on Wikipedia). Flour and water - and that's what these spaetzli are made of - are staple foods, spaetzli, whether vegan or not, are not staple foods. And by culture he didn't explicitly mean you, but Europe, for example. And he's not spreading bad vibes, but giving facts and good input. So just take a deep breath before thundering off and insulting someone like that.

Spätzli are a typical Swabian staple https://de.wiktionary.org/wiki/Sp%C3%A4tzle And German-speaking Switzerland shares this cultural heritage with the Swabians.

Spaetzli = staple food. That's a fact. Even if you personally disagree and even if Federica thinks it's wrong. What's more, you can find lots of spaetzli in our Migros supermarket, not a single one of them without eggs. Incidentally, there are also many people who cannot tolerate eggs.

Dear Migros, may I please also have an answer to my question? Thank you very much. Kind regards, "Twilight"

We value receiving ideas directly from our customers. Active feedback from our customers enables us to continuously improve our services and adapt them to changing customer needs.
We regret that you will not find Bio V-Love in all stores. We can understand that it is annoying when individual, much-loved items are not included in your store's range. Depending on the sales of an article, it is allocated to a product range level. The sales outlets receive an assortment level for the various product ranges corresponding to the sales area, according to which the range is composed. For space reasons, we can currently offer organic V-Love Spätzli in the following stores:
M Würzenbachstrasse LucerneMM Schönbühl LucerneMM Ladengasse EbikonMM Metalli ZugMM Sonnenplatz EmmenbrückeMM Hofmatt Kriens MM Schweizerhof LucerneMM Mythen-Center SchwyzMM Mall of SwitzerlandMM SurseeparkMM Länderpark StansWe are pleased that you have told us what you would like, this is the only way we can improve and we will keep this feedback in mind for future adjustments to the range. We hope that you will still appreciate our range. How can it be that it has the same consistency as the one with eggs, although it has no eggs and E-number?

Hello Michi2000, thank you for your request. The in-depth clarifications with our specialist department have taken some time. We are sorry that we are only getting back to you now. We are happy to provide you with the following information: The spaetzli contains water, durum wheat semolina, sunflower oil and table salt. As with the ratio of eggs and/or flour, the durum wheat semolina serves as a binding agent. The consistency can be influenced by the composition, the duration of the mixing process and the blanching time. The longer the mixing process and the shorter the blanching time, the firmer the Spätzli will be to the bite. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
