Why is the Nutri-Score lower than for the liter pack (D instead of B)? According to the nutritional table, it is exactly the same. Does this have to do with the new calculations and the large pack is still in the transition period with the old calculation?
Hello Raffzgi, you are correct in your assumption: the reason for this is that the calculation logic of the Nutri-Score has recently changed and become stricter. Milk, milk-based drinks and plant-based drinks were previously calculated using the algorithm for solid foods. However, these are now classified as beverages. This tends to lead to a downgrading of the Nutri-Score. The changeover from the old to the new calculation and from the old to the new packaging takes time, so it may be that the same or comparable products have different Nutri-Scores. Is this for expansion into the uk or why is the product written entirely in English?
Hello frankinc, thank you for your message. We were happy to look into your question. We learned that certain products in the V-Love line are labeled in English. This is as long as the product name is understood by the general public in Switzerland. With the 0.5 dl packaging size, space was also a reason why we opted for the monolingual product name.
