Why aren't there more varieties of white grapes on the market? Always just Vitoria and later Uva. Somehow both varieties make a perfect impression from the outside, but on the tongue there is usually only disappointment. Are there no new varieties that are transportable and have a perfect finish at the same time?

The variety of grapes is very large and it takes years to breed new varieties, but our buyers take new varieties into account and also taste them. We would be happy to tell you more about our grape varieties, the grape season and the countries of origin. We basically distinguish between two seasons:
1. the European season with Italy, France, Greece and Spain
2. overseas season with Brazil, South Africa, Chile, Peru, India and Egypt
The European season from July to November/December is the more important of the two for us. The first grapes come from Italy, early variety Vittoria and later Uva Italia with muscat flavor. Unlike the other white grape varieties, these two are available in large quantities. Uva Italia is one of the best and most popular because of its nutmeg flavor. Depending on the region, Migros also offers the Regina and Regina Pizzutella varieties as well as the Panse variety.
We source the Chasselas de Moissac from France. It has an excellent taste and is very popular. For lovers of seedless grapes, we obtain the Thompson Seedless variety from Greece. From Spain in October/November the Aledo and Dominga varieties.
In the case of overseas goods, only the color of the grape is indicated, not the variety, for example white grapes, rosé grapes, etc. We generally source white grapes with seeds from South Africa between January and May. These are the varieties: Vittoria, Waltham Cross and Dauphine.
White grapes without seeds from South Africa are: Superior, Prime, Early Sweet, Sugerone, Regal, Imperial, Sugra 12, Thompson Seedless, Imperial.
