Only the Grosis Tiroler-Cake is still available to buy. What happened to the M-Classic Tiroler-Cake? Is it no longer available?

Hello Smilla_S, we have removed the M-Classic Tiroler Cake from our range without replacement. The alternative is Grosis Tiroler Cake. We hope you like it too. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Have a look here https://www.coop.ch/de/lebensmittel/brot-backwaren/kuchen-suessgebaeck/kuchen-toertchen/c/m_0130?q=%3AtopRated%3AworldNameFacet%3ABetty%2BBossi&page=1 There are also cakes from "Qualité & Prix" but unfortunately they are not on the website, only in the store, they are roughly the same price as the M-Classic.

Why was the delicious cake changed?

Hello Martini, thank you for your inquiry. We are happy to inform you that the recipe for our Tyrolean Cake is still the same - we have not made any adjustments. The only new thing is that we are selling the cake under the Grosis brand. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Well, Migros has created a new expression for its ribbed cakes.

Previously, promotions were advertised with "All ribbed cakes", now with "All saddle of venison cakes". (Promotion 20% cheaper from, 5.8.-11.8.2014).
So now you can't let your imagination run wild: I always thought of waves and not the carcass of red deer!

Rehrücken is a normal and well-known name for cakes with such a shape.
Such a globetrotter and still missed this expression?

Thanks for the clarification. Truly never read or paid attention before!

Hello Istanbul
Thank you for your feedback!
Rehrücken is a traditional pastry from Austria and got its name because it resembles a saddle of venison (a meat dish). The cake is baked in the special Rehrücken baking tin (rounded loaf tin).
We hope you continue to enjoy the Tiroler Cake - despite the name change!
Best wishes from the M-Infoline team

Has the recipe for the legendary Tyrolean cake been revised?

This was one of my favorite Migros cakes - for more than 20 years. I particularly liked the almonds and the nutty flavor, but also the soft chocolate chips in it.
Yesterday I bought the Tirolercake again and was bitterly disappointed. The almond pieces on the cake are completely missing. It is dry and the chocolate pieces are hard. It can't be the expiration date (26.8. 2014). It also tastes much sweeter than before. The subtle nutty aroma that used to predominate is completely gone, and the chocolate aroma is only marginally perceptible. Far too sweet, far too dry and, unfortunately, far less butter than before in the cake.
Are they suddenly saving on the more expensive ingredients? Especially as the roasted almonds from the top of the cake (see photo) have now disappeared from the surface of the cake...

What a shame!

Hello guest
Thank you very much for your comment. We would like to clarify this with the specialist department.
Do you still have your packaging? If so, please let us know your lot number. This is usually printed near the expiration date and starts with L or a mixture of numbers and letters. We can use this information to check whether there were any irregularities during production at the relevant time.

Definitely better than the competition, but unfortunately too sweet (like all other cakes, cakes and tarts).
Many of my friends complain that ready-made baked goods are too sweet and prefer to bake their own with less sugar.
