An insider tip for minor repairs! The rubber feet on my laptop took on a life of their own. Enquiries to M-Electronics were fruitless, as were tinkering with glue, superglue and wide double-sided adhesive tape for refixing. By chance, I came across this inconspicuous, narrow (ideal size for the rubber feet!) adhesive tape. And lo and behold: everything worked; the laptop has fixed feet again! By the way: HP sent me a free replacement of the feet with the small adhesive. So I have a reserve in case the textile adhesive tape with the original rubber feet doesn't hold.
