We've had very bland peaches and pear halves three times now, you don't even know what you're eating. The fruit is not in fruit juice, which is usually a bit thick and which you could drink because it's really fine....nein it's just water, that's how it seems. Today we also just had peaches nicely arranged in a plate (one was all tattered) and again very bland. We didn't eat them because you don't know what they are supposed to be. I took a photo of the lid with the date and there is a number on it, I can't find anything else. And as I said, it also happened with pears.

Why does it still say ascorbic acid in the ingredients/allergens but citric acid on the product in the store? There are a few people who are allergic to citric acid.
Hello fragino, we have different suppliers of peach preserves who work with different recipes. Some use ascorbic acid, others use citric acid. The information on the tin is always decisive and up-to-date. It is particularly important for allergy sufferers to always check the packaging information before buying/consuming a product. Why don't all tins have a tear-off lid, like at Coop, Manor, Aldi, Denner, Lidl, etc.? It's much easier to open and also much more hygienic than using a can opener (there are none of those tiny tin or aluminum splinters that get mixed into the juice).
