Hello I would be interested in the drying process. Are these mangoes dried with sulphur and is sugar added?

Hello Saranna, thank you for your inquiry. We are delighted that you are interested in how the fruit is made. We would be happy to let you in on the process: The mangoes are peeled, cut, lightly sulphurized and then dried in ovens. We do not add sugar. We hope these lines are informative for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello I am interested to know where these mango slices are processed, i.e. dried. Kind regards,

Hello Roula, the countries of origin of Sun Queen mango slices are South Africa, Ghana or Burkina Faso. There the product is carved, dried and then packaged for transportation. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, I see that quality problems with dried mangoes ×3 were already reported to you six months ago... However, we are used to a completely different quality. Why do we keep finding this product in your stores? Thank you!

Dear Aechever, thank you for your message. Please let us know the best-before date and the accompanying batch number on one of the packages concerned. This number usually begins with the letter L or consists of letters and numbers. Could you also elaborate on the extent to which you feel the quality has deteriorated? Sincerely, your M-Infoline team

Best before date: 30.11.2021 Lot number: L2006369619 155 The pieces are very dry, have a darker color and the taste is almost unpleasant.

No anomalies were found when the reserve samples were checked. As mango slices are a natural product, sensory and physical differences (color, etc.) may occur depending on the origin and year of harvest. We check each goods receipt by sampling, based on various parameters including appearance, smell and taste. If any discrepancies are found in unmanufactured goods, they are rejected and not released for sale. We will continue to monitor this matter closely. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Unfortunately, I feel the same way as the questioner NoraB. We eat the mango slices regularly and last week we bought a 3-pack in promotion. The mango slices taste funny, almost as if they were fruit on the verge of spoiling - when you can already taste a hint of alcohol. I can't describe it any other way. They are much more intense on the nose than usual - but they don't taste good in the mouth. Is it the same for others?

yes, i felt the same way...

Hello BeKob, thank you for your feedback. Our specialist department needs the product for testing. Can you send it by post or customer service to the following address: Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund M-Infoline / Reference 20210913-0910 Limmatstrasse 152 8031 Zurich Thank you for your help and best regards, your M-Infoline team

Of course I will!

Hello BeKob, thank you for sending the mango slices. The responsible department has checked them and, apart from a slightly darker color, found no deviations from the desired standard. The color and taste of a natural product vary, partly because the harvest year and origin change. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, I have been eating these mango slices with relish for a long time. However, last week I bought 3 packs in Lyss. The taste and quality of these packs cannot be compared with the previous ones. Have any changes been made to the processing? Yours sincerely

Hello NoraB, thank you for your question. Please let us know the best-before date (BBD) and the lot number next to it. The latter usually begins with an L or there is a mixture of numbers and letters. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

1st pack best before: 17.07.2021 / L0000000164 2nd pack best before: 07.08.2021 / L0000000165

Hello NoraB, thank you very much for your feedback. We had the supplier's retained samples tasted and examined by a specialist panel - the taste of the mangoes was flawless. No deviations were found in the incoming raw materials for these two batches either. We assume that the perceived difference in taste is due to the origin of the mangoes. We will be happy to contact you privately. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for your feedback. I take note of this although my husband got another packet of the same series (L0000000165) yesterday in Bern and according to our taste they are not comparable. The older series (expiration date in April) which I picked out in Migros ;-) tastes much better. But this could be due to the mangoes. I would be happy to hear from you privately. Lg
