Attention worm infestation!!!!
Hello Sabrina40, thank you for your message and the photo. We are sorry that you discovered pests in the product. This should not happen! So that we can investigate the cause properly, please send us the picture, the best-before date and the batch number via the contact form. The latter is generally located next to the best-before date. It usually starts with the letter L or a mixture of letters and numbers. Thank you in advance for your valuable support. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros. Can you explain to me why the same hazelnuts that cost CHF 3.45 in a 200g bag cost a whopping CHF 5.20 per 200g when sold open? A 50% surcharge as an incentive to buy unpackaged and save on plastic consumption? And even less comprehensible for a purely economically minded customer? Thank you for your explanation. Kind regards
Hello chaetschgumi, thank you for your question. To clarify your request, please let us know which branch or Migros cooperative you shop at. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I noticed it in the Breitenrain branch in Bern. fr. gr.
Hello chaetschgumi Thank you for contacting us. The idea behind the open sale is that our customers can put together the various items as they wish. The sales price of CHF 2.60 per 100g is calculated as a mixed price. We look forward to welcoming you to our stores in the future and wish you a wonderful autumn season. your M-Infoline team

Thank you - I ONLY buy the Sun Queen hazelnuts in bags in Münsingen - this has been the case for years (previously MClassic = now Sun Queen, if I have understood correctly). Sometimes I can already see in the store that the bags/nuts contain "threads" of worms (when they hatch from the nuts), sometimes I don't see anything. Then I "store" the bags/nuts at home in the kitchen for about 4 days or 1 week. I open them and the worms come out. Everything is covered with these threads, the nuts contain holes (from which the worms "hatched"). It goes fast and you have the whole house full, because they multiply and multiply. According to the Internet, these are MEALWORMS. They quickly infest open chocolate, dried fruit, flour etc. = pests and pests As I mentioned, I have had to return at least 3 packs every week for months because all the ones I buy are infested. I am AWARE that this is a natural product, but where the nuts come from, worm infestation seems to have been a problem for a LONG time. So far I have kept quiet because I didn't want to "grumble" about a few pests/worms. But as the problem persists, I have now contacted you. Kind regards... and yes... for this "quality", the nuts are really way too expensive for me!
We have forwarded your request to the Migros Aare Cooperative team, who will be happy to deal with it and provide you with an answer as quickly as possible. @M-Infoline I am just wondering why you are reporting this problem to the Aare cooperative, which is actually only one of the sellers of the goods. It would be better to check with DELICA AG to see where the problem lies, as this is where the nuts are packaged.
Hello Chou-fleur, thank you for your message. Can you please let us know the lot number and the best before date? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

@M-Infoline - then I would certainly have to return 3 to 5 bags to you/the store every week for months (Münsingen/BE), because EVERY pack I buy is infested...

@M-Infoline - EVERY bag (Sun Queen, whole hazelnuts) that I buy in Münsingen/BE is affected... for weeks/months - the last bag was filled with nuts from Azerbaijan, I threw the packaging away straight away as there were already little worms sticking everywhere = they are multiplying rapidly!
@M-Infoline...I found more than 22 worms in the pack with the following information: Best before: 26.1.2019 19:30 L0000000010 165 (I'm not quite sure if the lot number is correct. Unfortunately, the last two digits, 1 and 0, are NOT legible, but somehow scratched off) e 200 g Origin: Azerbaijan Kind regards
Hello Chou-fleur Based on the information you reported, our supplier has checked various retained samples of Sun Queen hazelnuts. No pests or other quality deviations were found. We also checked the products on site at the Münsingen store, where no deviations or pests were found. As we have not received any other complaints of this kind, we cannot explain the frequency you describe. In general, it should be mentioned that we check a representative sample of each raw product for various parameters, including pests, when we receive the goods. If we measure a deviation, we would reject the goods and they would not go on sale. If such incidents occur again, please send us a photo of the sample or, ideally, return the product directly to a Migros store. Thank you for letting us know and we look forward to convincing you again of our usual high quality. Kind regards from the M-Infoline team
@M-Infoline: I'm sorry, but that's IMPOSSIBLE, or else they simply didn't look well enough! So from now on I will have to return affected bags/uncounted worms all the time, otherwise I will obviously not be believed. You can't just look at the bags and see the worms immediately. Sometimes you have to wait two or three weeks for them to hatch and become active! I usually DON'T see the worms in the store, otherwise I wouldn't buy the bags in the first place!!! The bags have to be kept for about 2 to 3 weeks and THEN the animals hatch! Once again: In my case, almost every bag is affected by the worms, always the bags from Azerbaijan (recently)! This must NOT be doubted. So if the quality continues to be so poor, you can look forward to many worms that I will return!
