Under what conditions and where are the cashews produced (time of harvest, payment of farmers, drying of the kernels, roasting)?

Hello racc00n, thank you for your inquiry. Cashew kernels are harvested from mid-February to June in the northern hemisphere and from September to December in the southern hemisphere. The world's largest cultivation areas for raw cashew seeds are the Ivory Coast, India, Vietnam and Tanzania. Only 4% is produced in Africa itself, the rest is exported mainly to Vietnam and India. The drying takes place in a dryer at the origin and the roasting takes place in Birsfelden at Delica. We are unable to provide detailed information on how the farmers are paid. The raw material is purchased directly from the supplier at the origin and processed by Delica. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I bought paprika cashews (SunQueen Premium Nuts)
After opening them and noticing the strange taste, I looked at the packet and realized that they were Cashew nuts with sprinkled seasoning!!! Probably a joke, right? What does Fondor have to do with paprika flavor?

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you did not like the paprika cashews.
The ingredient used was correctly declared as a seasoning, although the difference between seasoning preparation, seasoning and seasoning mix is not always clear at first glance.
In terms of food law, the term "seasoning" is understood to mean the following:
Crumble seasoning is a solid, mixable product made on the basis of table salt. Other ingredients such as yeast, vegetables, mushrooms, spices and, to achieve better flowability, starch or fat can be added.
As stated in the declaration, the seasoning used contains paprika as a spice. Sodium glutamate (flavor enhancer), such as in Fondor, is not used.
