Why do the Sun Queen have more calories when roasted? Are they prepared with oil?
Hello Michi2000, the Sun Queen cashew nuts (item number 105320000000) as well as the Sun Queen cashew nuts roasted, not salted (item number 105350800000) are produced without oil. Added oil would be listed in the ingredients list. Slight deviations in the nutritional values may arise for various reasons: natural fluctuations, rounding differences, selected analysis or calculation method, measurement uncertainties, etc. Naturally, the nutritional values are stated as accurately as possible, but even by law there is a certain tolerance range. In the case of energy-providing nutrients (fat, protein, carbohydrates), this can be up to +/- 20%, depending on the quantity. Even from a nutritional point of view, minor differences - e.g. a few calories more (or less) per portion - are negligible in relation to the total daily energy requirement. In addition, a certain amount of moisture can escape during the roasting process, which can also explain slightly higher values for the energy-supplying nutrients. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why do these nuts have fewer calories per 100g than the information on the bag sold in Migros?
Hello Michi2000, how should I understand your question? The calorie information below for the Sun Queen cashew nuts is the same as you will find on the packaging in the store, namely 583kcal/100g. If we have missed anything, please let us know. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I bought these Sun queen cashews once in Migrolino and it said that these nuts have 608kcal per 100g
Hi Michi2000, it may well be that you got hold of packaging that still had the old design. When adapting packaging, you also take the opportunity to check the nutritional values and adjust them if necessary. With a natural product such as cashew nuts, there are natural fluctuations and nutritional information cannot therefore be given as precisely as you might expect. A difference between 608kcal and 583kcal is to be considered small for a natural product and is within the tolerance range specified by food law. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello everyone
I find the cashews from Sun Queen a bit unpleasant smelling, always reminding me of fish. As I have now thrown away the 5th bag I bought in different stores, I will probably not buy them again.
How does this unpleasant smell come about?
Best regards

Hi guest
Thank you for your comment. We regret that you were unable to enjoy the cashews.
However, so that we can check whether the quality actually deviated from the standard, we need the best-before date and the lot number. Could you possibly provide us with this information?
Have a nice day and best regards from the M-Infoline team

I have often found that packaged nuts have a slightly rancid taste. But these taste nice and fresh, the ideal snack. It's just a shame that the bag can't be resealed, which incidentally applies to all Sun Queen nuts and dried fruit.
Hello Tomtom
Thank you very much for your feedback.
We are very pleased that you are satisfied with the taste of the Sun Queen cashew nuts.
We are aware of the problem with Sun Queen bags that cannot be resealed and are working hard to find a solution. We ask for your patience.
Best regards
