No need to say anything about the quality of the almonds... just great. Only the packaging.... For a premium product, e.g. to give such almonds as a gift, aluminum cans would not be wrong. There is a distributor in Germany who sells nuts in aluminum cans. They look great!

Much earlier, smoked almonds were still available in aluminum cans. These almonds were much better. I recently rediscovered these almonds on a trip to the USA. They are the Blue Diamond Smokehouse almonds. I think Migros had a different design, but they were definitely these almonds. Why have they been removed from the range?

We only sell our own brands in our aperitif nut range. With a few exceptions, we do not use aluminum cans and offer the nuts in resealable bags.
There are currently no plans to add branded products to our range of nuts.

There used to be smoked almonds, which were much more intense, more smoke, more salt. Since the new packaging, they are different. I think the predecessors of these Sun Queen smoked almonds were marketed as Premium and before that without Premium. Do they still exist or have they been replaced by Sun Queen?
@Gast: If I remember correctly, the smoked almonds used to be packaged (more than 10 years ago) in a medium-high (slightly higher than small tin cans), orange-colored aluminum can - and mW not "premium".

One of our products has given cause for complaint - we apologize.
In spring 2013, we switched from the M-Premium brand to Sun Queen. However, only the packaging was changed; the price, quantity and quality remained unchanged.
There may be slight variations in the aroma of the smoked almonds, as the aroma does not always adhere to the almonds in the same way. Our supplier carries out strict incoming goods inspections, but unfortunately fluctuations cannot always be avoided.

Are the almonds smoked with bacon or what? Too bad that the product was not described in more detail!

Thank you for your request. The smoked almonds are flavored with a smoke flavoring as described on the ingredient list. Smoke flavoring refers to preparations made from condensed and purified smoke, so the almonds are not smoked with meat.
