Dear Migros, depending on the source, cyclamate has a carcinogenic reputation and is therefore limited to a maximum daily dose. Your product contains E952 and water. How much pure cyclamate is contained in this 200ml can? How much is the product diluted? The packaging says nothing about this, thank you.
Hello E952, sweeteners are harmless to health when consumed in normal quantities. Numerous scientific studies have been carried out that prove the safety of these substances. It is fair to say that sweeteners are among the best-studied substances in our food. Based on the scientific studies, an international panel of experts from the FAO and WHO sets so-called ADI values (Acceptable Daily Intake). The ADI value indicates the amount of a substance that can be ingested daily and over a lifetime without posing a recognizable health risk. The ADI value for cyclamate is 7mg/kg body weight per day. A person weighing 60 kilograms could therefore consume 420mg of cyclamate per day.
