I cooked with it for the first time, and the coating smelled extremely and poisonously due to the heat on the hob!
Is this "normal" and will this toxic smell stop soon (possibly due to being baked on?)?

As I said, it's the coating on the outside that smells poisonous when it warms up on the plate!
