I've noticed that a loaf of St. Gallen bread bought at Limmatplatz is not the same as a loaf of the same name at Rosenberg. Why are there differences? St. Gallerbrot is a product that should have a recognition value no matter where it is bought.
Hello guest
Thank you for your message to the M-Infoline.
Our company is divided into ten different cooperatives. Each cooperative operates autonomously and makes its own decisions. Migros Rosenberg belongs to the Migros Eastern Switzerland Cooperative and Migros Limmatplatz to the Migros Zurich Cooperative.
But regardless of where you buy it, there are always differences between artisan bread and industrially produced bread.
Migros Limmatplatz sources its St. Gallen bread from the regional bakery Jowa Volkestwil. At Migros Rosenberg, the bread is made in the Migros in-house bakery. This is why there may indeed be differences.
We hope this information helps you and wish you a good day.
Best regards
