Steinharte Asco Sport Training

Dear Migipedia Team May I ask why the Asco Sport Training, until recently rather soft, are suddenly rock hard? We recently bought 4 bags and all of them are rock hard, as if they were old. But we only bought them recently. Today we bought another bag, also rock hard.

Hello 65chris, thank you for your inquiry. We will be happy to make further enquiries with the relevant specialist department. To enable us to trace the manufacturing process precisely, we would ask you to send us the best-before date and the batch number of one of the pouches. You will generally find the latter next to the best-before date. It usually starts with the letter L or a mixture of letters and numbers. Thank you in advance for your support. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I can't find a batch number, neither with L nor a combination of letters and numbers. But the best before date is 16.08.2025. I'll try to send a photo.

Hi 65chris, thank you again for contacting us about the dog snack, including the photos we received by email. We are very sorry that your experience with the product was not flawless. Thank you for drawing our attention to this discrepancy. We immediately informed the responsible department.

Those responsible have examined the retained samples in question more closely. The inspection revealed that individual bags also contained hard mini bones.

We looked at the entire production process and can only assume that the problem occurred in isolated cases during storage of the semi-finished products. The semi-finished product is the intermediate storage of the mini bones after production before the product is packed in bags.

The storage of semi-finished products is limited to a maximum of 3 weeks. Our internal laboratory checks these goods once a week. This includes checking the feel of the product. We dispose of the goods after the storage period has expired at the latest. If quality deviations occur before the end of this period, the semi-finished goods are completely disposed of at the specified time.

We pack the mini bones in boxes, which we then store on pallets. Possible causes for the hard bones could be that the mini bones are "dried" differently during storage on the pallet - or drying out in the packaging during storage or transportation is also possible.

As an immediate measure, we have informed all responsible parties about this discrepancy so that appropriate measures can be taken and the previous product quality can be restored. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We hope you can understand this explanation. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
