Why is fluoride added to water these days?
Hello guest
Thank you for your comment. Please excuse the delay in our reply.
Fluorine is a natural element whose occurrence in water depends on the origin of the water. The fluorine content varies depending on the layers of rock through which the water flows. Fluorine helps to prevent tooth decay and is therefore also found in toothpastes. Fluorine is therefore beneficial to health in certain quantities, but can become toxic in higher quantities.
There is absolutely no enrichment of any kind. A "natural mineral water" (legal term) may not be subjected to any treatment. You can therefore continue to enjoy S. Pellegrino mineral water without any worries.
To compare the fluorine content of different mineral waters, you can find a mineralization table of various brands at this address:

We hope that we have been able to answer your question to your satisfaction and wish you a great day.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
