Is this piece suitable for making tartare?

Hello SusanneE, thank you for your inquiry. You will find a note on the packaging stating that the beef fillet should be consumed fully cooked. Accordingly, it is not suitable for preparing tartare. We hope these lines are informative for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Pure decadence!
These foreign products from countries that were recently contaminated by mad cow disease seem to have a massive influence on the pricing of Migros shoppers.
You should only carry your shopping home in a Louis Vuitton bag. Presumptuous and without national reflection. Eaten today - tomorrow.....
If you are not satisfied with Swiss meat, you can also find foreign products at Lidel or Aldi, for example.
At a realistic price.

Hello guest
We regret that you are not satisfied with our offer.
Our Sélection Irish Beef comes from selected animals of the highest quality.
The proportion of imported beef at Migros is 4% of total sales. The rest is Swiss meat. We also offer Swiss beef in Terrasuisse and organic quality.
We wish you a happy Advent.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

In the meantime, Migros Aare has halved the order for pasture-raised beef animals, i.e. at the moment I am selling the animals despite the more expensive rearing without receiving the added value of pasture-raised beef. Typical Migros?

Our meat purchasing department at the Migros Aare Cooperative would like to discuss your request with you personally. May we ask you to send your contact details to the e-mail address m-infoline@gmaare.migros.ch? The responsible buyer will then contact you immediately.
Thank you for your help and feedback, your M-Infoline team

I produce Swiss pasture beef with Limousin cattle and supply Migros Aare. Migros Aare has now terminated the contracts with effect from fall 2013. My animals also eat lush grass and are regularly inspected by Swiss inspectors. But Ireland is just around the corner...

Was the reason "you=guest can't supply enough meat"?
Mirgros is becoming more and more hypocritical! Regional products that are not regional, organic products that are not organic, poisonous clothes, general products that are only getting worse (probably cheaper) (Nussstängeli, Bärentatzen, Tirolercake, Budget Wasser etc.) and, as an employer, ever worse working conditions. Stinginess is cool, isn't it?
Dear guest, do you have a website and would you also send meat? I think many would opt for a sustainable product.

And to what extent can you judge that? :)

Our meat marketing department would like to discuss your request directly with you. May we therefore ask you to send us your telephone number and address to the e-mail address m-infoline@gmaare.migros.ch?
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Your M-Infoline Team

I'll give it a try now. One more question; is this meat the tongue of the animal?

Hello guest
A fillet of beef is a part of the back. It runs along the loin area on both sides of the spine. The cut is the best quality of the animal - it is particularly tender, lean and juicy.

Excellent beef, but why isn't it Swiss beef like the Simenthal? which is also a great quality beef.

Tough meat, a real sole, not shaved enough and packaged/sold too quickly. Please Migros, let the meat rest for 2 more days!
What's more, it's not from Switzerland.

118.00 per kilo !!!! I'm dreaming, imported meat to boot!!!!

Hello gregmin
Thank you for your contribution.
It is not possible to find the quantities required for the Selection range on the Swiss market. In Ireland, cattle graze all year round on generous pastures. Their natural diet gives their marbled meat an incomparably juicy taste. That's why we've chosen Ireland's Angus, Limousin and Charolais breeds.
You can be sure that it is in our best interest to offer products that are produced in compliance with animal welfare, animal husbandry and meat quality requirements.
We hope you've found this information useful, and wish you lots of fun on Migipedia.

Sheiss Migros, importing again and not making anything local, typical coop and Migros

I wanted to buy Angus beef from Schwitz. But the farmer has now stopped because it's not profitable for him, so what else can Coop and Migros do? P.S. The farmer sold the meat directly to a village butcher. How can he not earn money?

Dear guest
Thank you for your interest.
We in Switzerland do not really have a cult of Angus beef production. Our topography is not ideal and traditionally other breeds of cattle are bred in Switzerland. There is certainly crossbreeding with Brown Swiss cattle, for example, but these are very specific fattening productions for our organic pasture beef, for example. However, we don't praise the breed there, as this would be far too difficult, because other crossbreeds are also possible, such as Brown Swiss and Limousin.
In the Sélection program, we sell products that are "unique in quality and have a tradition or long history". For beef, we have chosen beef from Ireland, where Angus beef production has been practiced for generations.
We hope this has been helpful and wish you a pleasant weekend. Your M-Infoline team
