we had this ice cream for the first time today at a friend's house. the ice cream was fine, but had nothing to do with vanilla. it tasted more like white chocolate and the typical black vanilla dots were also missing. we simply question the expensive and exquisite presentation, as the contents did not correspond to what was pictured. a pity.

Hello papaya13, thank you very much for your review. We are sorry that you missed the vanilla flavor in this ice cream. It consists of just five ingredients and no flavorings or additives are used. This should give it a subtle but not very spicy vanilla flavor. As we use whole ground vanilla pods and not just the seeds, the black spots mentioned above are a little less noticeable. The taste of white chocolate indicates a so-called "light damage". It is possible that your ice cream bucket was in the freezer next to the lighting in the store. Hello Ebemaj-63, the Sélection Pure Vanilla Bourbon cream ice cream does not contain any gluten-containing ingredients, nor should any carry-over be expected. If a product contains ingredients containing gluten, this must be openly declared, stating the cereals containing gluten (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, etc.). In addition, gluten-containing ingredients must be highlighted in the list of ingredients, for example in bold print or with capital letters (examples: wheat starch, WHEAT flour). Traces due to possible carry-over in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain" note ("may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten"). When are you bringing back the Sélection Salted Caramelglacé? That was by far the best of the line.
