Dear Migros This is a very good product. It would be commendable if this product were offered in refill bags.

Hello taucherli, we are delighted that you like this product so much! We currently only stock the best-selling spice varieties (e.g. paprika, ground and whole pepper and seasoning) in bags. The Sélection Curry is not yet one of them - but we were happy to place your request with our specialist department. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros This product has not been available anywhere in the area for some time. Is it a temporary supply shortage or has the product been removed from the range? I love this curry more than anything and really miss it. Thank you Alexandra

Grüezi. I have been using this curry mix for years because it is very fine. Nevertheless, I wonder why palm oil is included in a spice mix? Palm oil is a recurring topic in the media and unfortunately I don't see the point of including it.

Thank you for your answer.

Due to its valuable properties (consistency, sensory properties and functionality), palm oil is a valued and indispensable oil for the production of foodstuffs.
In products where a substitute is not possible due to the specific properties of the various oils, palm oil with sustainability certificates is used.

Dear Marianne77
Thank you for your interest.
Palm oil is mainly used because of its long shelf life and its technological properties - in other words, palm oil can only be replaced at the expense of quality.
We can assure you that the palm oil comes from controlled cultivation. It is RSPO certified. The organization (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) has defined criteria that must be met for sustainable palm oil production. Compliance with these principles and criteria is ensured by the "Book and Claim" certification system, a certificate trading system.
We hope this has been helpful and wish you a good day. Your M-Infoline Team

How does this thing work? I can barely get a grain of curry out of this grinder. I can't transfer it to another grinder because I can't open the thing. So the only option is to dispose of it?
By the way: What does *Pour* Indian Madras Curry mean? Pure perhaps?

Hello Karl E.,
I don't have a curry mill, but the similar spice mills work as follows: turned upside down clockwise should produce a coarse grain, counterclockwise a finer grain.
Pour ... means: for ... Indian Madras curry.

Of course I understood that too, but it still doesn't work.

Hello Karl
Thank you for your message and your interest in our Sélection product.
We are aware that we have a problem with some Sélection spice mills. However, up to now this has related to the Himalayasalt and Pfefferbouquet products. We are working with the supplier to find an optimization for these products. Unfortunately, we still have to ask for a little patience on this point. We will also integrate this product into our clarifications.
With regard to the name of the Sélection Indian Madras Curry, we have also clarified this again with our supplier to be on the safe side. The name is correct. "Pour" is French and means "for". It therefore means that the spice "For Indian Curry Madras" is suitable as a dish.
We hope that our answer has provided you with sufficient information and wish you a good day.
See you soon in your Migros - we look forward to seeing you! Your M-Infoline team

Dear M-Infoline Team
Thank you for your answer. So can I return it without any problems? I don't really want to exchange it, as this curry contains a considerable amount of table salt - and that's hardly something you want in a curry.
Even after your explanation, the name remains more than just stupid, because Indian Curry Madras is a kind of English, so the "pour" is hardly to be understood as a French word, but rather as an English verb form: to pour: to pour in, pour out, etc., which means "pour Indian Curry Madras", which is quite meaningless.
Kind regards
Charles

Hello Karl E.
If you still have the receipt, you can generally return items to the store if you are not satisfied. It is always up to the store to decide whether to refund your money or offer you a replacement product.

Very nice.
We asked ourselves the same question about the naming at the breakfast table today. As a native speaker, I must therefore object that the attempt to explain "French" is flawed in that the following three words make no sense in this language: the adjective should be "indien", with an 'e' instead of the 'a' - for example: Pour curry indien 'Madras'. In this respect, this everyday riddle remains unsolved.

Hello guest Daniel D.
Curry Madras is a dish. That is why it is not translated.
Have a nice day and best regards from the M-Infoline team
