Hello, does this product come from ethical animal husbandry? I have heard terrible things about buffalo farming and the treatment of male calves. I would be glad to know which Migros mozzarella comes from farms that take animal welfare seriously.

We can provide you with the following information about buffalo milk: Animal welfare is also very important to Migros. That is why we have also implemented the Swiss animal welfare regulations at our buffalo mozzarella producers in Italy. Unfortunately, the animal welfare standard in Italy (as in other countries) is much lower than in Switzerland. We have addressed this problem.
