Does the Swedish cake contain raw eggs, for example in the cream? As I am pregnant, I am not allowed to eat raw eggs. How can I tell if cakes contain raw eggs?
Hello Zimtfee,neither fresh eggs nor raw milk/cream are used for the industrial production of our patisserie (e.g. Swedish cake). For hygiene reasons, only liquid egg (a pasteurized egg mass) is used in industrial food production, fresh eggs would be far too delicate, and the patisserie sold by Migros can also be consumed by pregnant women without hesitation.
