Why is there no Hölländertorte or Hefekranz in the Migros range? I also search in vain for apple strudel. Instead, half the bakery is filled with Linzer tarts that are dry.
Hello TortillaElch, thank you for your question. Which store do you shop at? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
MMM Buchs AG
What is an elderberry tart?
Hello TortillaElch, thank you for your inquiry. We regret that you are missing various items in our stores ☹. We have of course forwarded your honest feedback to the relevant department so that they can investigate. We assure you that we always strive to offer our valued customers the most appealing range possible.
After consultation with the specialist department, the following alternative products are available for the yeast wreath:
- Russenzopf, 113665700000
- Sélection Sélection rose cake, 113636000000
In addition, we currently only offer the apple Jalousie, 113102305500 as a possible alternative. In addition, we no longer offer Holländerorte in our stores, but will be happy to take your valuable input on board. We are sorry that we cannot offer you anything more positive at the moment and hope for your understanding. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for your reply. However, it is not true that it is an unrefrigerated product. The boxes were in a refrigerated counter together with the cakes and cups, with the promotional sign directly above them. I had never seen this product before and I was curious to try it, especially as I liked the smaller portions more than the rather large pieces of cake. It's a patisserie box (black base with transparent lid) with two small rolls: https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/113575100000I've never seen items packaged in this waywith a relatively short expiry date among the non-refrigerated products.
Thank you, no answer is also an answer.
Hello Federwolke Thank you very much for your contribution. We are very sorry that you had to wait so long for an answer. Unfortunately, we had some technical problems and were not able to answer all your questions immediately. We would therefore like to formally apologize. We have contacted our responsible specialist department regarding the Mini Bûche chocolat. They confirmed that the product in question was not included in the Black Forest promotion. The promotion format is "20% off all Black Forest patisserie products: Tarts, tart slices, roulades and tubs, chilled". However, the Mini Bûche is an unrefrigerated item. We can well understand your annoyance and have drawn the attention of our specialists to the confusing claim. We ask for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you again soon. Now we wish you a pleasant sunny day - see you soon in your Migros! Best regards from your M-Infoline team

I would be interested to know why I had to pay the full price of CHF 4.00 for the Mini Black Forest log product (listed here under the products as Mini Bûche) in Migros Gümligen today (30.10.2014). Unfortunately, I only noticed this on the receipt when I got home, otherwise I would have intervened in the store straight away. In the recent past, such misleading promotions were the specialty of your biggest competitor, but now you have to be extremely careful with almost every purchase at Migros to ensure that you are granted the promotional prices.
How strict are the hygiene standards for such productions?
I bought one of these cakes today. I don't dispute the taste, but I found a bug inside. Not so tasty :/
Hello MissZombie
Thank you very much for your message. We are sorry that you had such an inconvenience with our Black Forest cake.
It is possible that the beetle was introduced through the raw material. However, without a sample, we are unable to investigate the cause further.
Cleanliness, hygiene and quality are very important to us. Our production employees are sensitized to look out for foreign bodies. Despite all precautionary measures, an incident can never be 100% ruled out.
We apologize for the loss of enjoyment and hope that you will continue to trust in us and our products. See you soon in your Migros!
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Has the recipe been changed in any way recently? Unfortunately, I can no longer tolerate this cake (also the Swedish cake). I get bad stomach cramps and diarrhea. It's a shame, I've never had such complaints after these cakes before. What I have noticed is that it keeps longer than before, so I conclude that you need some kind of additive that makes the cake keep longer but my body can't tolerate it. I would be happy if I could find the "culprit".

Megacrack, get yourself checked out. You may have a general reaction to milk products. In other words, lactose intolerant

Thank you, I've already clarified all that... All negative. I don't have any problems with yoghurt or cheese, but also with a chocolate drink.
Hello megacrack
It's a shame that you didn't enjoy our cakes.
We are sorry that you are suffering from stomach cramps and diarrhea, but it is difficult for us to imagine that our Black Forest gateau or Swedish gateau could be the cause - as we have not made any changes to the recipe or production of either gateau in recent months. We are happy to list all the ingredients again below - in case you want to check with your doctor about allergies.
Black Forest gateau ingredients:
Sugar, water, whole egg (from barn farming), wheat flour, non-hydrogenated vegetable fats (with emulsifier: E 472b), decorative sprinkles (sugar, low-fat cocoa powder, cocoa butter, non-hydrogenated vegetable fats, glucose syrup, flavorings, emulsifier: soya lecithin), candied cherries 4.5% (cherries, sugar, acidifier: citric acid, preservatives: E 202, E 220, colorant: E 127), glucose, emulsifiers: E 472b, E 472a, E 475, E 471, chocolate flakes 1% (sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, emulsifier: Soya lecithin, flavourings), low-fat cocoa powder 1%, skimmed milk powder, lactose, cherry, humectant: sorbitol, hydrogenated vegetable fats, raising agents: E 500, E 341, gelatine, stabilizers: E 450, E 415, thickener: E 401, flavourings, barley malt flour.
Swedish cake ingredients:
Marzipan 22% (sugar, almonds, humectant: sorbitol, water, glucose syrup, colourings: E 100, E 131), whole egg (from barn farming), cream 15%, sugar, wheat flour, cream powder 8% (modified potato starch, sugar, glucose, milk powder, vegetable fats non-hydrogenated, acidifier: E 263, stabilizer: E 450, table salt, flavorings, carrot extract), water, wheat starch, emulsifiers: E 475, E 472b, E 472a, E 471, glucose syrup, humectant: glycerine, modified corn starch, raising agents: E 450, E 341, E 500, preservatives: E 281, E 202, flavourings, vegetable oils non-hydrogenated, gelling agent: pectin, barley malt flour, stabilizer: E 415, acidifier: citric acid.We have not received any other complaints of this kind, and if you can tell us which store you bought the products from, we will be happy to clarify whether the cold chain was interrupted somewhere or something similar.
We hope this helps you and wish you a pleasant weekend. Your M-Infoline Team

Here too, kirsch has no place in the Black Forest gateau! Otherwise it would have to be called Black Forest cake (which it is).
It's not just because of the children, but also because of vulnerable adults and then there are also people who simply don't like the taste of alcohol. But the fact is, there are more and more alcoholic products in Migros!
Hello Camastral Armin,
Kirsch belongs in an original Black Forest cake!
If you take the drug Antabus® or eat the mushroom Coprin(f) (Schopf-Tintling ?), you should avoid this delicious specialty.
The effect of Antabus and Coprin is based on the triggering of alcohol intolerance as a result of blocking the enzyme acetaldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH).
Greetings Istanbul
.
Hello Camastral Armin
We would like to clarify the following on the subject of alcoholic products at Migros, as many customers expect our products to contain absolutely no alcohol:
Even during Gottlieb Duttweiler's lifetime, Migros carried foods containing alcohol, such as cherry tarts and chocolates, in its range. This is and has always been correct, as Migros' basic principle of not selling alcoholic beverages is laid down in the contract with the cooperatives. Gottlieb Duttweiler simply wanted to ensure that his business principles of "low prices through low margins, etc." did not encourage the popular addiction to alcohol, and he himself enjoyed smoking a cigar and drinking a glass of wine.
Alcohol is used as a flavoring agent in the food industry. The quantities of alcohol used in pralines, chocolates and cakes are small: 1 carton of beer (3dl), for example, contains five times more alcohol than 100 g of liqueur truffles. The price of alcoholic pralines is much higher than that of alcoholic beverages: the amount of alcohol contained in 100 g of truffles would be over 30 times cheaper in the form of beer.
Based on these facts, it was established early on in Migros' history that such products could not be a serious source for satisfying an alcohol addiction. The sales ban was therefore explicitly limited to alcoholic beverages.
Our Black Forest gateaux, which we offer packaged in the store, are produced at JOWA, but the gateaux on offer at Gourmessa and the restaurants are usually produced in the in-house bakeries of the respective branches. There may be regional differences in terms of recipe, weight, alcohol, etc. The original recipe for Black Forest gateau always contains kirsch. Such a cake without kirsch may or may not be on offer.
We therefore recommend that you pay attention to the declaration on the label when buying in the store and ask for a tart without alcohol in the Gourmessa. If it's not on offer that day, you can always place an order.
Happy Easter from the M-Infoline team

Why is it always claimed that alcohol was already in the cakes in Dutti's day? That's not true at all! Dutti was always against any kind of alcohol - and so there were never any baked goods with alcohol.
It's very embarrassing that I have NO opportunity to spontaneously buy a Black Forest gateau without alcohol in Migros. In a very large Migros center, the order period is 3 days!!!
Why not the other way around? If you want alcohol, you have to order in advance.
Dear guest
Thank you very much for your contribution.
Our M-Classic Schwarzwäldertorte has contained kirsch for at least 26 years and has also become a very popular item during this time.
In some regions, the cake is also available without alcohol. We are now investigating whether an alcohol-free version can also be offered throughout Switzerland.
However, please do not be disappointed if this is not implemented immediately. Thank you very much for your suggestion.
See you soon in your Migros!
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

Very good cake, but I won't buy it again as long as there is no version without "candied cherries"!
Hello guest
We will be happy to pass it on to the specialist department.

The very best Black Forest cake in the world!
Beats any cake from a confectionery!
A version without alcohol would be an advantage. At least a small version.
I'm thinking mainly of my children.
Hello Supergirl7
Thank you very much for your entry!
We are delighted that you like the M-Classic Black Forest Cake!
Our Schwarzwäldertorte has just over 0.5% alcohol. Migros declares "May not be sold to children" for all items that exceed this limit.
However, we are actually in the evaluation phase of offering a Black Forest gateau without alcohol.
Your M-Infoline Team

Without alcohol, I think that would be a good idea, possibly so that the cherry pieces are not so noticeable in the taste.
