Hello, compliments, the panettoncino is very tasty. Unfortunately, egg yolks from barn farming are used. Why is this the case? Are there any plans to switch to free-range farming?
Hello genki, the manufacturer JOWA AG is committed to using only eggs from animal-friendly husbandry. We only use eggs from animal-friendly free-range or barn farming. We know our suppliers and we know how they produce. In addition to the legal requirements, Migros has introduced the winter garden (covered, weather-protected fresh air area) as standard for barn rearing. From our point of view, too, it would certainly be desirable to process only free-range eggs. However, in view of the current egg shortage (CH, EU), it is unfortunately not possible to change over. It is already very expensive to cover our demand for barn eggs. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

i wonder why this product has fewer calories and is cheaper than the normal panettoncino when it also contains dried fruit...?
Hello Skade7
Thank you for your comment.
Basically, the two panettones do not differ greatly in nutritional value. The Panettoncino has a total of 10 kcal less than the Panettone. A nutritional analysis can never be 100% accurate, i.e. the values can fluctuate, especially when working with natural ingredients such as flour and dried fruit. As both items contain raisins, the Panettone 20% and the Panettoncino 17%, the difference in nutritional value is not particularly great, especially as the raisins contain more carbohydrates than the candied fruit.
Have a nice evening and best wishes.
