The packaging says that the pastilles are gentle on the teeth. Why do I find sugar as the last-mentioned ingredient in the composition? It seems to be a small part of the coating of the pastilles. But is sugar even allowed in a tooth-friendly product?
Hello Fiditscher, thank you for your post. In order for a product to be labeled "sugar-free" according to the legal requirements, it must contain less than 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g of sweets. The declared sugar is contained in the colorant, which is added in very small quantities for coloring. The sweets have been checked so that we are allowed to depict the "Zahnmännchen".
